Looks like the generation or two before my old one. Are you running discs in front and drums in back or 4 discs? Either way, this RC Booster will work for you. (There is a different one if you have 4 drums). The bonus is it's more compact and you'll gain some space in your engine bay.

I'm not sure when that booster started. I know my 72 had a smaller one. I’ve seen that booster used from my 75(all drums) to a 78(disc/drum) that I parted out many yrs ago. I think it was used on later models too. I believe rebuild parts are no longer available for them.

Matt, I thought I remembered you having a brake thread. Apologies for the highjack / revival but I've got a hiss when I shut down and I'm thinking it may be my booster. So far no idle issues but I will check my vacuum this weekend when I have time to tinker. I have an extra new valve from an 80 series so I may see if it or at least the grommet will fit to see if I get lucky, the hose could use a refresh as well. If that fails I'm in the market for a City Racer booster and will probably replace the MC as well since its old as well.

Question... did you go with the 75-79 booster and MC or did you convert to the early 90-92 FJ80 set up? I'm trying to decide which way I'm going on my 77 with stock front discs and drums in the rear (that are dreaming of being replaced with discs)
