Thanks for all the kind words, I'm glad I've been able to contribute some useful mods to the forum - I've certainly taken more than enough ideas away from 'Mud.

The inverter hookup is super simple. As mentioned you can run it straight to the battery or if you prefer you can also remote mount an additional cigarette lighter plug (or just get a splitter to add more to the existing setup) and you're good to go.

Been looking to do something like this to my 60 since the radio slot isn't filled anymore. When you say you extend the wires and run them to the battery, do you mean that you extend the clamps or have you removed the clamps and then tied the wires into the fusible link or ran wires off the battery cables?
