I have read a lot about the Autometer line, they make some nice stuff.
But, I have an older Stewart Warner (SW) - they make some pretty high quaity gauges as well I read. It is lighted also. The PO mounted it to the left of the cluster. I like it there. RPM's at 9k are more than my rig needs, but it works perfect. has a little rotating ring that allows you to move a little indicator to your desired shifting point - that lights up as well at night.
when it dies, I will go to something like a Autometer with a 5-6k max.
