The boys and I will be there Friday, most likely after dinner.

Rick, could you let me know what is included and not so I know how much cash to bring?

Thanks!

@Dan, camping free, trail fees=$20/vehicle/day. After dark on Friday doesn't count as a trail fee day.

Looks like a potluck is in the making. Sounds like a fair way to do it. We could use some sides since I'm grilling up the pork.

So Friday dinner is covered. Matt & Missy are doing breakfast Saturday AM. ACC is grilling burgers and dogs Sat nite. Bring your own lunch/snacks/drinks.

I'll hopefully be there before lunchtime ! One buddy of mine is coming with me but another is coming after he gets off work. (Goode is his name on mud). I planned on bringing a couple of tenderloins too. We can always cook them for a midnight snack after the festivities :cheers:

Lunchtime on FRIDAY that is!

Not saying "not coming" but last week at work was not easy to get through. Lost a boss and a team mate in leui of Indian call centers. Lost others but those two directly affect my daily work, a few were in roles that no one else does....
Any event, can't take any time off and was planning on taking off Friday and riding some when I got there. As it stands now, I can't afford gas to come Friday night and ride just Saturday and come back Sunday.

Slight change of plans, we will be leaving Johns Creek Friday morning, instead of Thursday. We will try to catch up with folks on the trails once we get there.

I will drop a $20 on you for gas if it helps. We need grain fed.

Suppose I worded that badly. I have the funds... but to travel 600 miles round trip towing at 9mpg to wheel one day... I love ya'll but damn, not $300-in-gas-love ya'll!
trust me, I'm not liking my situation and doing everything I can to find an out so i can actually be closer to GMP!
I currently have no boss but the directors and others bosses said No days off that wasn't on the calendar.... Friday wasn't on the calendar... I suppose i could quit.

Rance, I know you and Andy. Glad y'all can make it up there early.

I plan to stay on the easy stuff as well, it would be a long walk back to tuscaloosa.

catching a ride with someone else up the fun stuff would be great though

Rome, Georgia is much further than I would like to hitchhike as well.
I will be in Friday mid-day and trying to scrounge up some deer meat to share.

The trailer is packed and ready to roll!

no roadkill, please.:hillbilly:
I figured I would be able to find plenty along 111 on the way.

Weather looks like it is going to be pretty nice.

If by nice you mean cold! :flipoff2:
Not really though. Only supposed to be real cold Thursday night. It should be perfect for sittin around the fire with a brew.

FINISHED MY BOX! Now I need to get an inverter and some tie downs for the crock pot. We are planning on making some green beans w/new potatoes for a side Friday night. What about saturday night?

I have a little hitch haul and might be able to bring a little bit of wood, whats the fire wood situation where we are going?

I'm bringing half a trailer full . I wasn't sure who all was bringing wood. The 80 doesn't want a whole trailer full going up the plateau . I can throw another 10 or 12 pieces in though.

That should be plenty of firewood. I don't think we've ever had a problem getting firewood up there either. Marshall talked to the park manager, Anthony, during GSMTR and they came back with a pick up truck full.
