Will your rears work with the sleeve or without it? I banged out the sleeves. Good old duct tape covering the hole at the moment.

Getting ready to follow your idea on the front what sleeve do you speak of on the rear?

It’s kinda like a shock sleeve that protects the sensor shaft, I guess. If I remember correctly it was pressed in the hole circled in the photo.

I would probably make them out of plastic or something because those who drive in salt or mag chloride in addition to dissimilar metals up against each other along with moisture seeping at least up to the o-ring will be in pretty rough shape after a year or two and frozen in the knuckle because of corrosion.

Even if I was making some for myself I would still choose aluminum. Aluminum vs steel is generally a good combination when it comes to corrosion were as aluminum and stainless steel are a very bad combination. Just think of all the areas on a vehicle where aluminum and steel are in direct contact. Threading a zirc fitting into a plastic material is just asking for trouble. Also, grease on the shaft of the plug will help a lot too and I'll just add that to the instructions or include a small pouch of brake lube.
