Agree.Btw if you removed the sleeve it’s not a huge deal. It just means the boss has about .01” of gap. Meh.
I would probably make them out of plastic or something because those who drive in salt or mag chloride in addition to dissimilar metals up against each other along with moisture seeping at least up to the o-ring will be in pretty rough shape after a year or two and frozen in the knuckle because of corrosion.
