*I am in Stillwater Oklahoma and am looking for some one to help me design ABS door panels for the 75-84 FJ40. What I need is someone willing to let me look at and borrow a set of stock interior door panels. I will use them to build a jig to produce the ABS panels. Here is a link to what I am doing now.

I am not familiar with the Toyota panel so I am not sure if I will need to destroy a set to get what I need.

Anyone with an old junky set of door panels.....this is your chance to get a free set of Black ABS Panels.

Thanks,

Troy Frank

I would be interested, though I would need something that isn't the same dimensions as the stock ones.

Recently I dismantled a perfectly good set of doors into half doors.

They just got back from the paint shop and need to go pick them up at my dad's place. I have the door panels and they're in great shape. I want to get some ABS cut and then have marine vinyl wrapped around them.

If you would be interested in making the ABS panels and shipping them out. I would send you my door panels. If interested PM me and I send you some pics of them.

Are you aware of these?

Door Panel - Serengeti - Pair w/Fasteners

I'll send you a set. Will the originals still be usable after you're finished or will they be taken apart to make the template?

I have a set with speaker holes cut it them that I can send you. I do not care if they get destroyed or not...

ABS panel is already manufactured, and marketed at 99-120 dollars. I assume your price point might be different? I just bought a set off ebay. I can tell you I had to use the stock clips, the aftermarket ones were too short for my 1980 FJ40.

I'm in Norman and I have a set of doors for a '75 that I'd be glad to let you borrow as long as I can have them back. The bottom is a little rough, but not too bad. PM me if you're interested. I travel to Stillwater quite a bit for work.

The Panels I make would be out of textured ABS. They would be flat like the Jeep panels on my website. I think they would sell for $40 or $50 a set.

I think I am going to borrow a set of doors from zglad. I will post pics of what I come up with.....

Thanks

just my $0.02 but these are already out there so for people to be interested, they will need to have an improvement in the design or be considerably less expensive. If not then.....

These will be a good looking aftermarket panel for about half price of what is already out there. If you are going for an original restoration these would not be for you. If you want something that looks good cleans up easy and is very durable this might be it. We sell tons of them for Samurais and CJs

ABS Plastic Interior Panels

When I get them done I will post up some pics.

Thanks

40-50 vs. 1200+

No brainerd for a trail rig:cheers:

For a stocker going for originality, won't work.

BTW, nice work and thanks for thinking about the cruiserheads.

If you ever think about doing some for the 60-62's let me know.

I"ll send you my panels in a skinny minute!

Does anyone have a lead on the correct nylon insert for 40 doors?

I am making a set of half doors and need to attach the inner door panel by using nylon inserts in the existing holes with trim screws - just like CCOT's panels.

The plan for the inner door panel is 1/8" aluminum covered in rattle can bed liner. Sound familiar?

Thanks
