$15 each....just started a new cart. I’ve already had 6 orders delivered from them. Mostly spares that I don’t need immediately like these spacers. But just in case......

Soooooo easy to start new carts! I'm going to need to seek professional help for this problem. One day. ha.

Struggling to get a good idea of the colour, but imagine it's like mine. When it's in shade, it looks very dark, when it's in light, it looks very light, sometimes has a hint of green, sometimes blue, but always awesome!

It's a strange color for sure....pretty stoked to using it. Perfect color for a Land Cruiser.

Love that pic of your truck!

We were re-doing a trans tunnel for a FJ40 in Raptor bedliner today. The tub had a really fine texture on it......so I bought one of Raptor's Pro guns....adjustable pre-set texture settings. What a great setup over the standard gun. We were able to match the tunnel texture perfectly to what was on the tub. Impressed with that gun.

Did the Troopy's running boards while we were at it....

many worry that the texture will compress over time? I finished my sliders with a similar texture and after about a year of use the texture flattened out.

I've never heard of that. Will do some research. Did you use Raptor?

no but similar bedliner stuff. It may have been an application error. I’ll take pictures in the morning.

I have used a lot of Raptor and it's very stable stuff. Has never changed texture at all. I guess depending on solvents used, other brands can shrink as they cure.

Raptor is about one of the best DIY products out there. It's very very satisfying stuff to use. Even better if you have someone who does all your prep work! 👍

And finally some movement at paint. Jambs done, interior done(the parts I wanted done) and the underside of the hood. VERY happy with the color...it's got that Dune Beige vibe but it's different. More grey in it. Some green too. Really happy I didn't chicken out and do white....I have a thing for white Land Cruisers....I think a lot of us do.

The hood was a mess....the inner structure was completely separated.....Benji glued used some panel bond to get it back in position.

So the plan is.....Monday he will tape out the interior and start blocking the outside. Seems like that will be a few days worth of work I'm guessing the roof will get primed and blocked at that time too. Then we get some paint going. I told him I want it back before Thanksgiving so I can spend some time while it's quiet in the shop putting things together where I can and maybe prepping that floor for Raptor. Really would like the interior done as soon as possible so it can cure a bit while we assemble.

Rad support had a pretty good crack in it.....will be welded up tomorrow so he can spray the parts of the engine compartments he can do with the motor in.

is that color your own formula or what? I really dig it. Mine I repainted the original factory color white.

It's Subaru Desert Khaki. It catches my eye every time I see it on a car. For a while I thought they had 3 similar colors because it changes so much. I was after a really light grey....like a Porsche Chalk color...very very pale grey. But this color looks Troopy-like. It's going be killer with black accents....and the grey interior.

Nice, can't wait to see the finished product, especially in the sunlight :)

I have noticed a few nice colors on the newer Subaru’s. Especially the gray or blue.

That blue or grey they use always catches my eye. Great color.

Got to see the prisoner....I mean Troopy.....today in body shop lockdown. It's really really close.

Supposedly paint on Monday and back to me at the end of next week but I don't think it's going to happen. I've heard this before.

Also received a fun phone call later today that the windshield cracked while it was being installed...which is perplexing since....the truck hasn't been painted. The painter came up with some great excuses as to why it was being installed(mainly because I'm rushing him to finish). The window guy(who I have known for 20 years) says the gasket was old...hard....too small......it was a brand new OEM gasket that I bought in August). It was also about 50 degrees this morning....which in FL is like 0 degrees everywhere else. So I'm thinking the gasket was too cold. Glass guy was upset and came over to chat tonight....he'll put the new windshield in along with the new gasket. Hopefully it will be above 50.

So....$400 later....a new windshield and gasket are on the way.

Worst part....the windshield was the only good part on the truck.

I will say the the body is SUPER straight. This painter may be slow and may make up stories about windshields but his work is really good. It's like a totally different truck now.
