Question about these gauges...

Do the aftermarket gauges sensors take the place of the stock sensors or do you have to install them at a different location?

I'm looking to install a water temp, oil pressure and possibly vacuum.

Different local as far as I know.

All depends on what type of adaptors come with your gauges. You may have to geat creative with the threaded bushings but you should be able to use the same holes.

Very cool, zander. I knew it would be a long process; you've done a nice job pushing it through.

I haven't gotten mine yet here in TX but I'll keep an eye out next week.

Much obliged!

Mine just arrived today, 10/26! I've just opened up the package and this is quality work - looks stock.

I haven't even held it up to the truck yet but will let you know how it goes.

cheers, zander!

You know you guys could have bought any similar "pod" and applied a heat gun to it. You can pretty much mold them to fit any pillar.:)

I played around with this a bit early on, but could not find one close enough to start with (and they were all mail order so it was hard to compare, if you had them all at a shop you could likely find a close one.)

The heat gun idea is still a good one. If anyone has fit up trouble that is likely a good way to make slight tweaks.

Here's a rough pic of the pod in place. I'll try to take some with a better camera later, but the texture, color matching, and fit all seem great.

Got mine today....color match seems to be on the $$... I havent had the chance to trial fit in in the truck but it does look as he said above... QUALITY WORK !!!!

Thanks Zander..... it was worth the wait !!!!

You lucky Bastards!
Did they come USPS or UPS? Just curious if to expect mine tomorrow (usps) or Monday?

hmmm....I'm in AZ still waiting.

Mine came USPS in one of those long triangular boxes. The box itself was a little smashed up so I took pics just in case the pod was damaged, but it was actually nicely packed inside. No problems at all.

The top hole does look like it's way up there but I'll echo zander in saying there shouldn't be any visibility problems. When you're sitting in the driver's seat the placement seems more natural than in the pics. Also, I was just propping it up in the truck for the photo. I probably could have moved it down the pillar another inch or so into the area where the pillar and dashboard meet.

Got mine yesterday. Looks good.

I am taking the 60 and pod to my buddy's body shop tomorrow. He is taking me to a paint shop to match the colors of the dark brown. I will post up the color we come up with if anyone is interested.

Mine came yesterday! I just checked my front porch now.

I ordered Grey as well, and I got black!

I forgot these were pillar mounts!!! These fit 2 1/6" gauges correct?

Anyone tried the fit yet? Interested to see how correct they're going to be.

Thanks guys.
