A pillar Gauge Pod group buy... (1 Viewer)

I'd like one, but don't want to sacrifice my pillar grab handle. If the 2 pod will fit, I'll get one. Or if someone shows a pic of the 3 pod cut down to 2 with the grab handle in tact I'll jump on this.

I am out of town on business right now, but I do have a pic that kinda shows it. When I get back I'll show another one.

any update on the prototype?

Yes I have it, angles and locations of pods look good. However the pillar that was sent did not have the upholstry and edging on it which I think may be a problem if the end product is to fit over that in our cruisers. I am going to take a closer look and talk with the manufacturer.

Well, the next question is what's the deadline to this? When exactly do we call it quits and get refunded.

I'm assuming it's in production? but if not? how much longer? are things pending on our end?

Sorry for the 20 questions.

Does anyone know the timeframe on this?

Also - what gauges are folks choosing? I was looking at the Autometer Z-Series but still undecided.

Most, if not all, group buys tend to be lengthy in the waiting, but they are usually always worth it. If it hits the 6 month mark, I'll start getting antsy about it, but I wouldn't mind if I opened my mailbox to find an odd shaped item waiting for me....

Prototype complete

I finally had the time this weekend to improve the prototype to my satisfaction. As i mentioned before the A pillar edging, glazing, and upholstery did not survive the removal from the cruiser (and since it was soft, it likely could not have been used as a mold anyway).

So I sourced some edging and spent the day with a can of bondo and sandpaper to approximate the shape of the A pillar upholstery... results in the see the pics:

It ships back to Durham NC tomorrow with all your orders. Are any of you out there (or know someone who is) to do an onsite fitting?

I am going to post my record of orders next so that you can all check that I have yours right.

Zander, make that pic bigger..
