For your viewing enjoyment. Additionally, I occasionally post off-road material on my YouTube channel as well. I'd be open to feedback if you are willing to give it.

TIA,
ArtWerks

Since you asked for feedback, there's nothing really informative here. Buying a bunch of parts and being excited about them is great and maybe this is what people want to watch, but it's not for me

Thanks for watching. It's informative to the person that is looking to build a 100-series, I suppose. Not someone that is "quadruple locked" > where is the fourth locker, by the way? I never heard of that.

I believe it's some sort of joke. A common term is "triple locked" (front, center, rear)

I think if you look at @nukegoat 's build you'll understand his level of boredom.

Cool to see another Coloradan interested in the 100 series, E39's and 911s (or is that a Cayman? ... As I hide from Porsche owners throwing IMS bearings at me for my ignorance). :)

For the record I was intending to give honest feedback, not to be a troll or whatever. I just don't think the channel will take off with that content.

Oh I understood that. And I agree. Although, I have no idea how to make a "non-team-of-professionals" YouTube channel take off so my opinion is of minimal value there. 🤷‍♂️

Me either I think it has to have something novel. Like unusual build (jerryrigeverything) or recording people's adventures so people can live vicariously (that wayalife guy or any of the overlander channels).

It's a 997 911 Turbo. No IMS bearing issues! Glad you're interested in my other cars, especially the e39 M5. That's where my real love is at.

I just uprgraded to a group 31 battery (Interstate) and Slee's billet terminals and battery tray. I like how it turned out.

If you were wondering what the two lockouts are for...

Very cool. The 996 Turbo and E39 M5 have been the runner ups for a few of my car decisions. I was very close to buying a ~$20k M5 a few years ago. 997 Turbos were always just beyond my means, but the 996 was a contender. Now I have too long a commute and no more garage space for those to be practical so I have to live vicariously through people like you for now!

I like the Slee terminals and the 2nd battery start switch.

Thanks! The 997TT was far out of my means until I sold one of my houses. Now, unfortunately, it does more collecting of dust than seeing road or track. Now that my M5 is running again it gets most of my attention.

BTW, when my key fob goes (for the second time) I'm fixing that problem once and for all and coming to you!

I enjoyed the video and the frank review of both bumpers - a lot of things I wouldn't have immediately considered about them. Also, nice to see a build that isn't a trailer/Walmart queen.

e39 M5  My garage...

oh man here for the garage pronz.

During the pandemic I had a 2018 M2, 1989 TLC .. sold the M2 after it was hit twice while parked in 3 months for an $8k gain (thanks pandemic) and bought my 100 series.

Waiting for the right roundie BMW 2002 to come along .. and in the middle of a home renovation. Won't be able to fit a lift (moving the garage from above street grade to basement at street grade) so won't have the clearance. But, I digress ... TLC and a driver's car is the ultimate combo.

I honestly didn't get through the whole thing. I'm not sure what the level of interest is for this stuff. A lot of people who are interested are already caught up to the point that you are in terms of the platform or mods. As far as feedback goes I think that most people vastly underestimate the amount of raw footage that needs to be edited down to create an interesting, dynamic channel. Someone who does this for a living can surely chime in, but I know that editing makes or breaks channels, and that it is probably at least 30 minutes per minute of finished content to do so. Best of luck.

It takes me hours upon hours to edit all my videos. And I'm not a video editor, just a guy who likes to tinker with making music and videos. I have no intentions with my YouTube channel other than to document for myself and others who are interested in the life of a man with five vehicles best dedicated to there intended tasks. Success or not, doing this stuff brings me joy. There is no failure when you're having fun.

Impeccable taste! Those three are a true practical use dream garage. (I am one porsche short)
What's it like to have everything?
Thank you, and I have to wholeheartedly agree. :)

All of my vehicles are used and enjoyed to the extent that they are intended for. I have a Miata as well that sees the most amount of track time. My 997TT doesn't see much track time anymore since I got the Miata. I mostly do meetups and sporadic canyon carving with the Porsche. Unfortunately this ends up being only a handful of times per year. The LX carts the kids around and goes off roading and camping quite a few times every year. It also takes the family to places like the Sand Dunes in Southern Coloraodo and, of course, Moab. And then there's the M5.... I wish I didn't drive it as much so I could keep it in collector shape, but I can't help myself -- that car yearns to be driven and driven hard.

What's it like to live with all of these gems? It's kind of surreal, to be honest with you. Never in a million years did I ever expect to have a garage like this. But I dream and I dream BIG. There will be a Ferrari in my garage some day, but only when I can afford to buy it cash and not have to sell everything else I have to buy it. And itself -- the Ferrari -- will serve it's own purpose.... mostly to sit tin the garage and look beautiful.

And let's be real, no one needs this many vehicles, but it's a passion and a hobby. For the time being I can afford it and if and/or when the time comes to thin my fleet, I can at least say I'm sitting on some valuable assets. Believe it or not, if one has to go, it's probably not the LX or the M5 for sure.
