Greg,
Did you pick up that 105 that was for sale in Houston? Is there a diesel swap in the future?
yup, he got the 105.
Yes, I did. I'm not sure about the long-term, as the 1FZ-FE that's in there seems to be in prime condition still. I'll say this, if there ever needs to be a re-power on that truck, it will be a diesel.

Cool. Is that the newer 1FZ's with the coil packs instead of the cap and rotor?
That was a nice rig. do you have any plans for it?
Drive the piss out of it and enjoy every mile.
I've taken off the running boards, though they are not like the 100-series running boards. I'm going to add an ARB front bumper but probably without a winch. The truck already has the auxiliary tank, so that's a real plus for my purposes.
do you know if the IFS ARB fits the 105? Or will you have to import aftermarket stuff?

moooooooo said:i skimmed the last posts a bit, but what are you referring to with regards to the "IFS ARB..." fitting the 105?
To assume, front bar should be the same, happy to be corrected. The 105....was from memory available in petrol (gasolene) and diesel.
Craigs Adaptors had this awesome LS2 (i assume LS2, LS7s are becoming popular) installed (and a kit obviously) in a 105....at the 4wd show at Melbourne Showgrounds...man it was nice. And you can put it on LPG too. Not sure of diesel to LS2 conversion...obviously the tank would need to be changed or very very cleaned out...fuel pumps too...so...meh not cheap. Would you need a different ECU? If you're going to an LS2 then that question is moot of course.
ok
thats it from me for now

Frame rail width. Not sure if the IFS V8 is the same as the 105 frame.

we're referring to the fact that there were no 105's sold in the US. We only had the 100's, and they have IFS (Independent Front Suspension) . . . as in no solid front axle. The other poster was asking me if I'd be able to instal an ARB brand aftermarket front bumper designed for a 100 onto a 105. I replied that I would, even if it required some minor modifications.
