I am toying with the idea of trading my 80 for a 100 series. I love the 80 and its been everywhere with me but, kids, changes in life, blah blah blah....you guys have heard it before.
Right now I am only interested in trading for an 100 for simplicity reasons. Its my only vehicle and I need a vehicle to transport the kiddo around. Also, I'm hoping there is THAT guy/or gal out there that secretly wants to get into an 80 and out of their 100
The details:
I bought this roughly 4 years ago and it was already lifted with the current 33" BFG's on it. It sits at 228,xxx right now and was at 207, xxx when I bought it.
Hence, the same tires with plenty of tread left. I really only drive it to the mountains on the weekend and thats become more rare in the last few years. Proudly, this truck has probably seen the same amount of trail miles as highway miles. It has been used for what it was built for and has performed flawlessly.
With that in mind, it is not going to win any beauty pageants. I don't think that there is a single panel on this truck that doesn't have some sort of blemish. I have seen waaaay worse, but I have also seen the pretty mall cruisers that look like they just left the factory- it is not one of those. At the same time, I get comments all the time about how "bad-ass" it is. I don't care who you are...that always feels nice. No scratch or dent ever affected how it got me to where I was going or the fun that was had while I was there.
Fixes:
-Front axle was serviced and rebuilt by Justin at Redline Land Cruisers last year. No leaky Birfs.
-Front shocks were replaced with Slee's last year
-PHH has been done
-Robbie at Adventure Offroad aka @powderpig did the head gasket, vsv and water pump 2 years ago? I don't remember when, but I do know that it was done right.
-Other EGR components have been replaced and I even have some extra stuff to go with the truck. I don't need to pass emissions anymore so I'm not sure of the status there.
Upgrades:
-Pfran led's. Seriously one of my favorite things on the Cruiser. Bright as the sun on the inside.
-Custom rear drawers with steel frame. Tough as nails. Heavy duty drawer slides that pull out past the tailgate(see picture.)
Doubles as a sleeping platform when the 2nd row seats are laid down.
I used an old Sleep Number bed with an air pump behind the seats that will come with the Cruiser. It plugs in to an inverter in the center console that also will be included. Sleeps two people very comfortably. Beds roll up and fit behind the seats to be out of the way and ready for next time.
-Arb RTT Roofrack with Smittybuilt Jack holder/shovel holder. Made for a RTT with a basket up front.
-ARB Front winch bumper. The bars in front of the lights have been cut by the person I bought it from. I like it that way personally.
-2 spot lights and one light bar mounted on the front bumper. Link to rocker switches in the cab. Honestly, they are cheapo amazon lights but they have worked awesome and are super bright. No water intrusion at a year of having them.
-Kenwood DVD head unit.
-Alpine Front speakers
-Uniden Pro 510xl CB Radio(needs antenna tuned)
Extras:
I have the passenger and driver side fender flares, some random egr parts, 3rd row seatbelts and probably a few other parts that I am forgetting.
What I'm looking for:
98-01 100 series with under 220k. I prefer white or grey colors. It doesn't need to be built, but that would be a bonus. Obviously if yours is worth more then I can add some cash to the trade.
If I can't find a decent trade, then I will consider selling this in the 80 section. I will not part it out.
Feel free to call or text 303-620-six four four four or PM me if you're interested. I will be out of town on the 13th and unreachable until the 14th.
