I've got a 97 LX w 269K miles on it that I am listing. While technically it does not have a blown gasket, the PO said it had a HG leak and he used some HG leak treatment to cure it, and it has driven fine ever since then (6 years ago). The previous owner was a MUD member. He was friends with Joey Romero from Wits End when they both lived in SoCal. The LX has been a CA truck its whole life, so zero rust, and well cared for.. This is not my DD.
$14K
******* I have a brand new OEM head gasket replacement kit and new OEM engine wiring harness that will come with the LX**********
It is a fantastic truck and whenever I bring it in to get smogged, the guy always comments how the motor is strong, classic 80 sewing machine hum.
I also have many parts that will go with the LX (knuckle hardware, wheel bearings, lots of other front end hardware, all OEM and brand new.) I can take pics of everything if you want.
The paint of the hood is shot and the clear coat is starting to go on the front fenders.
The power steering pump and hoses should be replaced. I have the new low pressure hoses from Wits End.
I would suggest replacing the transmission oil cooler lines. I have the Gates trannie oil cooler hose that would come with the truck.
The truck drives really well. I regularly take it to Tahoe, 4 hours away, it does fine going over mtn passes. My big trips involve 800 miles of driving down to the Eastern Sierra for camping trips.
Let me know if you have any interest and we can talk more.
