Dose anyone know if it sold. If so is there any one that would go look at it for me im in socal

sounds shady,,,,,, Newark/Queens/Brklyn dealer - prob stolen or bait 'n switch-

Not too shady. My neighbor Steve snagged it and I spent some time poking around.
Very good cosmetically. Like ridiculously nice exterior and interior.

Radiator has been replaced with an all metal unit. Fan shroud is broken, aftermarket radiator hoses used, gates belts making the turbo whine.
Cooling system needs to be flushed. Motor runs like a top. Shifts well, brakes excellent. Worn steering ends need to be replaced.

Screaming deal IMO. Oh yea. It's got factory lockers too. Probably never been used.

I just found the listing they had for it on ebay. Look at the carfax. 146,613 miles were reported in 2004 and this:

REGISTRATION EVENT/RENEWAL Reported registered/titled prior to storm event in FEMA designated storm area. We recommend a professional vehicle inspection to confirm no storm damage.

Very strange. Check it out
Toyota : Land Cruiser Toyota : Land Cruiser | eBay

It appears to have collectors edition wheels and exterior moulding, but no collectors edition emblems.

It's interesting that eBay contracts with Experian/AutoCheck to verify the odo at 140k+ (8 years ago) but they are perfectly fine with the fact that the seller has pictures of the odo with just over 80k and a listing calling that correct.

Hilarious. And someone apparently put 80k miles on it in about 2 months....

That's because it was a rental/fleet vehicle early in it's life. It's in the notes at the bottom of the history report.

I wonder if it was driven cross country a couple of times.

That would be over 1,300 miles per day for two months. Not likely at all. Indeed, something is amiss with this vehicle's history.

Nevertheless, it looks nice.

carfax

It has a history in Cali and MS. It was probably driven there. It does look really nice. Even with the rollback it's probably still worth what he payed for it.

I am sure you know what you are talking about, but what turbo whine? I did not see any modifications to the engine. Do 1FZ-FE engines have turbos?

not a turbo. A turbo whine from the toothed aftermarket belts. Sounds like a bad power steering pump. Once a matched set of OEM belts are on I'm certain it'll quiet down.

Some sort of duplicate VIN or some such nonsense. The Toyota EPC pulls up a different manufacturing date than Carfax. The Toyota date matches the door jamb placard which is accurate according to all numeric codes. All body panel VINs match. Not sure where the error is and to be honest, I don't think it matters much. Truck is in great shape other than a few wear items.

I would be hard pressed to believe it has more than the stated mileage given the shape of everything I've seen. Even the common wear spot on the driver's seat is very mild and not worn through. I'm not sure anyone ever sat in the rear seats. All doors close solid like my truck used to oh so many years ago. Even the sun visors snap in place without sagging.
