Aftermarket appears to be US$60 for three.

OEM is US$700.

One person that used Cobra aftermarket said they were fine. Just looking for more reviews.

Still did no answer why do you need solenoids ??

The PO never changed the ATF.

It was black when I got it.

I got a PO770 code the first month after I bought it.

I did the ATF flush.

Lately I have been getting a PO773 code.

I am about to drop my AT pan and change the filter.

So while I am in there I would like to switch out the solenoids. Or at least "shift solenoid E".

I have armor under my AT that makes a pan drop a colossal PITA.

I will have to fabricate a brace so I can remove the armor.

One of the best things anyone can do to help prolong the life of their transmission is regular fluid changes.

I had many customers come into my shop that though their transmission fluid was good for the life of their car, and never needed to be changed.

I told them they needed to change their fluid every 2 years, or 30000 miles whichever came first, or every year if they towed a trailer, or lived in a hot climate.

That 100 bucks they'd spend for a fluid change, was a whole lot cheaper than the hundreds of dollars or more they'd end up spending on a transmission overhaul.

Ive often contemplated this. $100 every 2 yrs/30k miles is $800/ 240k. Given you can pick up a low mile tranny for $400......wouldnt it make sense to double that interval change to 4yrs/60k? I would be curious to to see what type of measureable fluid differences there are between 30k old fluid and 60k old fluid really in the a442?? and given people often send original fluid 120k+miles ---how really bad is 60k.?

Of course im strictly talking a442.......not that pansy tranny a343 that needs cuddling and time in that new Wits-End Monogrammed custom a343baby bjorn every 30k. :flipoff2:

Have any of the OCD members on here sent trans fluid to be tested? Whats Bob is the oil guy talk on this say?
