Can anyone recommend good aftermarket solenoids for the A343F?
Aftermarket appears to be US$60 for three.
OEM is US$700.
One person that used Cobra aftermarket said they were fine. Just looking for more reviews.
The PO never changed the ATF.
It was black when I got it.
I got a PO770 code the first month after I bought it.
I did the ATF flush.
Lately I have been getting a PO773 code.
I am about to drop my AT pan and change the filter.
So while I am in there I would like to switch out the solenoids. Or at least "shift solenoid E".
I have armor under my AT that makes a pan drop a colossal PITA.
I will have to fabricate a brace so I can remove the armor.
One of the best things anyone can do to help prolong the life of their transmission is regular fluid changes.
I had many customers come into my shop that though their transmission fluid was good for the life of their car, and never needed to be changed.
I told them they needed to change their fluid every 2 years, or 30000 miles whichever came first, or every year if they towed a trailer, or lived in a hot climate.
That 100 bucks they'd spend for a fluid change, was a whole lot cheaper than the hundreds of dollars or more they'd end up spending on a transmission overhaul.
