So it was lifted after...big deal. Does not depreciate it in any way. So what if i was wrong (which you have not convinced me of). I was not trying to sell it, simply asking questions if you refer to my origional post. Your the one who got huffy cause it was something you did not buy or sell. Call me names like that to my face you would not!

Every time you open your mouth you stand on your cock. This forum is around 10 years old now .Wayne , myself and a few others have seen quite few quirky land cruisers come through this forum ,so if you don't like being corrected, you know where the exit button is.
My advice, take some grow up pills

.... and I thought chat was entertaining !

Pictures speak louder than words, c-mon mate put up a pic , I'm interested to see if there ball bag hanging off anywhere

LOL, factory, prototype, or aftermarket????

If my Bj74 had 4 doors my kids would still hate riding in the back seat....I gotta do something about that.....(see ya kids!) (KIDDING!)

asking 28k for a tinker toy BJ70 (when put beside my lifted PTO winch, extended bumper LX 74 model)

First off it is not a BJ70 it is a PZJ70 with factory soft top and electric lockers which is very rare. Like yours the value is what ever someone is willing to pay for it.

Secondly the SWB BJ70 you are discrediting is built on the exact same drivetrain as your MWB BJ74. The difference being the wheelbase and upgraded turbo version of the B series engine which is also found in the SWB BJ71. The PTO winch was an option on all of them depending on the market. It definitely has a cool factor but doesnt make your truck any more capable. In fact some would argue the opposite due to the poor approach angle. Many of us have removed our PTO's for that and other reasons in favour of electric winches.

Thirdly, yes Crushers lacks a little finesse and is a little to blunt and to the point for some but he didnt attack or insult you, he merely challenged your information. He is one of the most knowledgeable and respected people when it comes to the 70 series and if you check out some of his builds you will see why. If I was you I would eat a little crow and start over.

Lastly, You have a very cool rare truck no matter where it came from. I personally would love to see more pics of it.

Look, i dont give a rats a$$ what this guy may know or think he knows. Insulted. take another look. I was the one attacked with his smart mouth. His bubble is about to burst. There are lots of knowledgable folks on here that are more than happy to help a fella out without insulting him. This guy is a total chump selling stuff at inflated prices knowing full well the market is crumbling arround him. Know it all smart mouth would be spitting chicklets if he ever dared talk to a customer like me in person the way he berated me here..and he is a buisness man..pfffffft. Totally imature and unprofessional. I bet more than a few of his customers curse him every day.

Some of you guys are amazing. Why you tooting this guys horn? Did you read the way he talked to me???

Sure the 70 is a nice truck..but he berated me for saying i would ask 35 for mine. Cause that is what it got into it and its unique and works like a top. Sheesh. Feed the guys ego why dont you. I bet someone would give it to me and if not...i keep it..no big deal. there is a pic of it on here. Look for yourselves. Unique and mint.

I am first time on this forum..look at my origional post..so what i am not a mechanic at least i care about my rig and know full well its value. Dont need smart mouth importer..who did not adress any of my questions..just nit picked and called me names. Ar$ehole.

The ones advising me to not burn this bridge. Bridge is burnt. Big shot made his ignorant point but did not help me ..and likely will get his $ for his 70. Thats fine. I have parts contacts that are knowledgable and reasonable..just thougt i may benifit from asking about my temp guage/ fuel gage...ie anyone had this issue..as well as my trans concerns but i think i have them taken care of here.

Anywhoo. Cheers fellas and have a nice day.

All i have to do now is find someone in Canada who knows this "wayne" character and thinks he is a tool. Should not be a problem.

nope, not built by Toyota but if you want to believe it was, please carry on.
the BJ74 came with either auto or manual.
toyota never offered a factory lift

Is this the quote that got you upset?

If it was i think you need a bit of thicker skin mate!! There is always going to be someone that knows more than you or just happened to have looked into buying the rig you brought (reference his quoted thread from 06) which has a heap of info. did you have a look at it. Not concerned about how much your going to sell it for, someone said it best before, its worth what someone will pay. Same as importing cars, the margin on profit will depend on the market at the time.

But with the info you have gained you can now pass on even more accurate info to who ever comes and has a look to buy it. isnt this a good thing?

Dont be put off, lots of info here and lots of mechanical knowledge that will help you through many issues.

Would really like to see what you have done with your rig in the time you have had it if you would like to share.

Cheers

kids
if you are looking for those that think me a tool because i know Cruisers and don't kiss their ass, you will find them. it really shouldn't be too hard at all. there is probably a few dozen right here on mud that will agree with you.

sadly, you bought a once rusty, unique vehicle with a s*** tranny that sucks power from the engine, is prone to overheating due to NO factory aux cooler (most of the rest of the world recieved the aux cooler but not those from Japan, so i have seen) so the heat kills it in Canuckistan.

here is what you need, kiddo, get it rebuilt OR buy good used. when you are installing it then install a fluid temp gauge and install BEFORE rad, at the same time install an aux cooler BEFORE rad. learn not to bag on the truck and that tranny should last the life remaining in the unit.

even an arrogant little dweeb like you should be able to understand the FREE advice i am giving you.

All i have to do now is find someone in Canada who knows this "wayne" character and thinks he is a tool. Should not be a problem.

IF you had read the link i posted up, it shows that i DO know your truck and what i had said was true ...
i posted up facts:
it was NOT a factory Toyota built proto
Toyota never offered a factory lift

you don't like being corrected, this i understand. There is a much better site for you to join, Pirate, http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/ ... you will like it over there, they are very polite and will be happy to answer all your questions in a mature way.

I guess this isn't a good time to mention that I have a eight door Toyota ( factory built ) Land Cruiser with factory lift. Photos to follow...... :D

Sorry .... I couldn't resist. :)

Actually I have a bj75 with 6 doors but I can only fit 2 on the vehicle at a time the others hang in the bj75 door wardrobe at home.

Wardrobe is factory built but no lift.
