Im sure your actually redoctober and this is your alter ego.
Actually I have a bj75 with 6 doors but I can only fit 2 on the vehicle at a time the others hang in the bj75 door wardrobe at home.

Wardrobe is factory built but no lift.

Darn ..... I have been discovered. :D

Well, thanks Wayne, you could have posted that prior to berating me couldnt you. Its not my fault your an ar$ehole. Trucks aside, you think you can just fling insults at people through the internet in a cowardly and childish fashion and expect folks to suck it up and put you on a pedistal. You may know something about trucks but You dont know who your dealing with. Where is the link about my truck...and what in gawds name make your think it was rusted out? I paid a decent price for it and have driving it through 6 harsh winters and its still tight because i maintained it..nothing a can of rust check wont check so your blowing smoke agian....

There is absolutely not sign of overheating in my tranny. More BS and jeolosy about not buying and selling my truck. Folks watch this guy. He is blowing alot of smoke.

some autos are worse than others, yours is one of the worst toyota makes ... the electric are actually pretty good with the "LOCK UP TORQUE CONVERTER" which is where you lose the power ... but then you already knew that.

if it wasn't over heating then your PREVIOUS rebuild is questionable, maybe find a better shop next time ... better yet, i am sure you could rebuild it yourself.

few dozen as in those on Mud that find me an a******.

go back a few posts, see that link i posted up? you do know how to read right? so now, you click on that blue link and it opens up a page that describes your truck back in the day and the couple dozen that were made. got it eh kiddo?

now go play, it is kindergarten time for you, isn't it?

i will admit it looks better with the bigger tires ...
sadly, i will have to pass on your extremely fair offer
you can see how they took a 70 short wheel base hardtop body and stretched it to fit the second set of doors.
off wheeling, enjoy the banter.
(should you wish to make the drive to Bancroft it would be enjoyable to watch the unit in action.)

Its just a hunting, fishing and work truck for me. No need to put it to any tests. It gets me where i want to go. May put a locker in the rear but aside from that its a fun ride. The small differences between these trucks to me are minimum as i am no expert..but i am learning. They are all awesome rigs when compared. Put some tires on that 70 your selling for gawds sake man. 28k and a guy has to buy $1500 in tires soon as he pulls out of the yard. They look like 25 year old tires.

umm, people that are shopping for a truck like the little 70 are looking for stock, there are a lot cheaper trucks out there to butcher ...
i got a little wheeling 70 that i enjoy ... ain't much but it gets me where i want to go.

All i have to do now is find someone in Canada who knows this "wayne" character and thinks he is a tool. Should not be a problem.

Ive met Wayne a couple of times, and yes he is a tool ;p

By tool I mean that he is useful resource for how to and how not to do things on a cruiser and where to find parts. That's about where the term "tool" would end when describing him.

As far as the rest of your posts, you come off as a troll to be honest. Wayne calls a spade a spade, he's like a grumpy old relative that grows on you, but you got angry and cried every time he called it a spade, and offered you the opportunity to prove him otherwise with shock codes etc.

This is probably not the best place for you. Perhaps you should leave, you bring nothing useful here but spend lots of posts talking about the horrible importer, and what you don't understand is that no one will take you seriously after that. Wayne has a reputation around here, and you trying to call him out as a crappy importer actually just makes you look desperate. Believe it or not, although it is hurting someone'simage, it isn't hurting his in

Your comments about a factory lifted cruiser then later you say you improve the suspension (lift?) seem to contradict buying a mint lifted cruiser. Have you posted that VIN or shock codes yet? Maybe I missed that?

Ill tell you what, lets see some proof its factory before we hear another accusation, I think that will either open door for you, or be another nail in your reputations coffin.

It's up to you. But we certainly enjoy this site as a resource and to share our tricks, projects and adventures more then get out of it for "man-drama" laughs.

BTW, Wayne, it looks like you may have found your new "Dougal" :D Though actually I think this guy doesn't get under your skin half as much.

Doesn't the last number dictate how many doors the cruiser has
Ie 74 = 4 doors :D

I guess this isn't a good time to mention that I have a eight door Toyota ( factory built ) Land Cruiser

Clint you are indeed correct ......LJ78 ...... 8 doors ( and everyone thought I was just making that up. ) :D

greetings dadio13 from a fellow 70 series owning maritimer. sweet ride you got there, i've got a BJ73 and LHD LJ73.

just wanna say i read every post for the first time and i think you over reacted a bit. when wayne stated your 4 door conversion and lift wasn't toyota factory, he didn't say your truck was worth any less because of it, he was just stating the fact. and as for the 35k price debate, it's true many would prefer a newer 1HZ 6 cylinder powered natural 4 door for 5 grand or more less, it's my personal dream truck. However, these trucks aren't 25 years old yet so they are nearly impossible to import into the states. this makes your 4 door and waynes soft top viable alternatives. you'll never get half the money you want for your truck in Canada btw.

here's some selling tips for U.S.

-First off your wrong, bigger tires doesn't necessarily mean more money. the cruisers that sell for the most money are completely stock and unmolested. you need to watch many ebay auctions. who is going to pay a small fortune for a truck just to beat it offroad? i have a vitara with toy axles on 38's for that.

-you say your truck is rust free? you need to prove it, they don't trust east coast canadian trucks thnx to the guys painting over rust just before a sale. if it's truly rust and body fill free, buy an electronic paint thickness gauge and video tape a full body scan.

-you'll need dozens of pics and a full video of every inch of the truck, plus running/driving videos as well. remember, your customers won't see the truck before they buy it.

do all that and i could see your truck fetching at least 20k, who knows how much more, you never know who's bidding and it takes 2 to make a bidding war...

anyway hopefully you won't end up selling it. oh and if you're wondering why wayne is cocky, click on one of his builds ;)
