I've heard Bearden and Landcruiser specialists recommended for land cruiser work in Austin.

If I need my 82 fj60 transfer case rebuilt (front output bearing is shot) who is the right choice in town?
should I go with a trans rebuilder?

My mobile mechanic doesn't do that sort of thing.

What should I expect as a ball park for someone to do it?

Thanks,

Eric-

He's who I would go to for sure.

AJ’s Yotas!

Bearden no longer works on cars older than 1995, so they are out.

Eric, another option is to rebuild the TC yourself. I did mine. Ordered parts from Georg @orangefj45 . I took the shaft to a machine shop to have bearings replaced, plenty of tutorials on the 60 forums for assembly, etc. it’s heavy work but doable

Thanks Everyone, I need to nut up again and take on bigger projects, but not being able to bring the truck in the garage to work at my pace + HOA means I'm going to throw money at this one. I did get the PS leak tackled I think.

I bought a big as CNC plasma and Honestly I never use it, I've cut like 2-3 signs and a couple Fbombs... Are there any vendors who sell Vector files for fj60s?

As long as I have the CNC in the garage there is no room for my 40 let alone my 60. I really need to win the lottery and buy a garage with vestigial house attached

IF i plan to use h55 in my 80, can I use the stock transfer case, or dO i have to have the later xfer case? Are all the parts available int on place? Kit?
:D

What did you get? Torchmate?

Maybe you can barter for the tcase rebuild with some metal business signs? I'm sure Hunter or AJ would be down.

For the vector files, you can use programs to trace and export out DXF. I think Inkscape can do it (and it's free).
