nice job on the crossmember removal! did it put up much of a fight coming off? and your bumper is due back from the powdercoaters in a day or two and with a little luck I might have it all ready to bolt on, crated up and out the door by this Friday.
Thanks! Mine is the little dinky green 80 on 35s. The other monster is on 39.5s!those are two beautiful rigs you guys have! I cant wait to join you on the trail someday soon!
I think your carrier has a little less angle than it does presently, I put it at about 8 deg tilt now, my idea on the height was to find a balance between departure angle, rear window visibility(which isnt that much) and minimize leverage on the swingarm hub, which takes on more strain the higher the tire goes. the ladder is at about 13 deg. by the way. the jack behind the tire does somewhat limit my placement options for the tire as well.
I can make you just another tire flange to swap out for your existing one. with more angle in it and can move it up about 1-2 inches possibly but I will have to play around with one to get an exact idea on the numbers.
I really like the way you mounted the shovel and other gear to the bumper, nice work! what size tires are those beasts running anyhow?
