main beam is made from 3/16" rectangular steel, everything else at least .120 wall. 3/4" thick clevis mounts that pass through bumper and are welded to the frame brackets, side protection brackets bolt up to existing captured nuts on frame, and those brackets are made of 5/16 and 3/8 steel. i use 4x4 labs spindle setup for the tire swingout, a 1k spindle for an optional 2nd swinout 3 jerry can rack. destaco 2k over the center compression latch incombination with a 1/2 drop pin keeps it shut tight. has high lift and antenna mount. tire mount flange telescopes in and out for differant size rims and offsets. 2" reciever. full bolt on except for the rear crossmember which has to be cut out and removed.

How much is this thing?

$1850 for the fully loaded model with every color you want as long as its black!

Just the little tweaks he has made. Look at the first one and then look at one of the last ones. For instance high lift jack has been in several locations.

Cheers

sean, I love the bumper! I have a question about attaching safety chains when towing a trailer. A few days ago I needed to hitch my trailer to the bumper which worked great, but I was a little be concerned about attachment for the safety chains. I hooked them to the D-rings I have on the back bumper but there is little slack. Do I just need to get longer chains, or is there a better solution?

I wanted mine in a color other than black--dark grey to match the cladding on the lexus. The color is a dark hammer tone grey-not exact, but close. That cost me an extra $50.

I'll add some photos when I'm on a real computer to resize and upload. But I'll say now that install was easy, fit was perfect, and the design and quality is awesome.

mine (brand new) has safety chain loops welded to the reciever. They are behind the bumper. Maybe that was a newer addition.

Here are the pics of my non-black bumper. I wanted to match the grey of the flares and cladding. Its not exact, but close.

I had been planning to upgrade my tires last--in a year or so--because I have limited funds, and the stock Michelins have 20k miles on them, and should easily last another 40. But now that I have that ugly spare sitting there, I'm getting tempted to do that sooner.

Why cut the crossmember? Is that the way all rear bumpers are set up? (4x4 labs, slee). If not why is yours set up that way?

The crossmember is at the very back of the frame. Any bumper that has anything that passes through (like the tow hitch) will need the crossmember cut off. I've seen some bumpers that give you the option on the hitch so you don't need to cut the crossmember if you don't need the hitch.

Just got back from Brockton the other day. first time back in 6 years, I miss it back there but not enough to ever move back, too cold there in winter, got accustom San Diego . saw some sites and even had the pleasure of staying at E Sandwich on ocean front cottage for a few nites!! Thanks mom and Dad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but it is good to be back in SD away from the mosquitos and humidity and of course the horrible poison oak sumac and ivy of which all I now have

I cant wait to start building on the 100 series, one of these days soon I hope.

And my rusty beast has to go. Never thought I would, but the wrenching never ends on a 44yr old truck, and I have developed a liking for the LC recently
