1. Year and Model: 1993 FZJ80 FrankenCruiser with '97 Locking Axles on it.
2. Name of Owner: Guy
3. Name of Rig: Clifford. The Big Red Dog.
4. Mileage: 195K Owned for 45K. no issues. PM only.... Knock on wood...
5. Mods: Bone stock except 285 BFG TA's and a couple flying monkeys dangling from the bumpers.... But thats about to change this weekend! (Technically it has the LED interior light mod. SOOOO much better. And it has the LED backup lights. I should have done those tricks the first day I had it.)
6. How the truck is used: Daily Driver. Photo expedition rig. Testosterone therapy.
Note< Clifford is going from Bone stock to Nice and snazzy this weekend. Will have Before and After Pics! After saving my pennies, FINALLY getting.....
3 inch OME Heavy lift. Front and rear.
Custom made RTT Rack with forward photo platform (Say that 3 times fast....)
ARE Winch Bull Bar.
Photon Torpedoes (I wish)

Next in cue is swing out rear bumper (as soon as I find someone to build one for me the way I want it.) Aux tank to extend range. And Roll On Bed-liner paint job because Clifford kinda has a receding hairline....
I'm kind of a Photo nerd, not much of a grease monkey, so I need to keep my mods conservative, just need the rig to get me and my gear and my family down and back any dirt road (Road is a relative term) I point it at. No rock crawling, or dune jumping, or mud bogging. But I'll take pics of the guys doing it!
If you know of a welding ninja that can make me a double swing out rear bumper, and mount a Tahoe tank under it, let me know.

Hi I am new to the site and been checking it out for a while so I decided to join. Last month I bought me one, yup a TLC I have to fly down to Santa Maria in California to pick it up and drive her home. Plan on adding ARB bumpers with winch, lockers, Shocks and springs 850 + N73 front and 864 + N74E rear well see how that goes, Rear Auxiliary tank, roof rack and up grading the front end components and that will be good to start with and also I would like to replace the two rear split windows because being from Alaska, were the windows come together I think will be a good place for the cold to come in and ice build up.

I do not know any good mechanics in Fairbanks so on the way by I am planing to take it to East Olympia Cruisers outside Tacoma and have them check the engine and I mean everything. Well lets see if I can get a picture up and thanks a lot for the site it is a great source of information.View attachment 890834

1. Year and model - 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser FZJ80
2. Name of owner - Otis
3. Name of rig - Hadn't really thought of a name, probably use "White Trash" when I bought it a few weeks ago due to condition, after cleaning maybe "The Great White Hope"?
4. Mileage - 230,600 when I bought it 230,720 now. Bought it for $3500 3 weeks ago and feel like I stole it.
5. Mods -

Stock features:
Front and rear lockers

Mods from previous owners:
ARB Front Bumper
Warn 9K winch
Old Man Emu 3" lift (OME860 tag found on spring)
Center differential locker button
My mods
All new fluids - Mobile 1 Engine oil and ATF, genuine Toyota red coolant, ROyal Purple in diffs and transfer case
New battery
About to install 315/75r16 Duratracs since the current 315/75r16 Terra Grapplers are from 2005
About to install front and rear door speakers. Considering a head unit swap.
Need to fix: rear sway bar shackle, transmission mount, parking brakes are completely rusted (lots of rust on truck due to Wisconsin life)

6. How the truck is used

As a second "fun" vehicle and to use as a truck for Home Depot Runs, beach trips, pool/lake trips, etc
For 90% of the time I had trucks ever since getting a driver's license but after selling a travel trailer I sold a diesel Excursion and got a 2006 Honda Accord sedan with V6 and 6 speed for a great price, it's my daily driver. Missed having a truck, so found this Cruiser at a great price
7. Photo. again...small to save space :)

No rear bumper, but happy with the other stuff. Well, it does HAVE a rear bumper, but it's OEM. And dented on one corner.

Between tires, fluids, windshield, speakers I'm already in it for nearly another $2K. Maybe I wouldn't have needed those things if buying a $5500 version, but it's kinda fun to add to it yourself.
