Nice rig. That looks like a "civilian-ized" army trailer. Did you need to make many modifications to it?

Thanks. I had Henderson wheel build me a 3 ton axle with brakes. They do a nice job and can put whatever stud pattern you want on it so I had a 6 stud so my spares will work on either the trailer or LX. I then stripped the wiring because it's 24 volt for the military and a 24 pin pigtail. I put 12 volt 7 pin wiring in.

I just hooked up the trailer and set up a snatch block:

https://forum.ih8mud.com/trailer-tech/516770-m101a1-build-questions.html

Since that thread, I welded up some new u-bolt plates with a shock stud so it has the stock military shocks. I will upgrade at some point but it rides and pulls great as is so I'm in no hurry.

I do want to maybe sand, repair rust, and repaint someday but am in no rush. It's just for hauling sh*t so rusty and camo is fine with me.

Finally joined the club...!

You'll have to forgive my love of using '...'...

Moving on!

I have been a long time board stalker and reader. Fell in love with everything offroad Toyota related years ago on a college trip to visit a friend in Wyoming. He had a fj55 that pretty much blew my mind, and I knew after that trip someday I would have to have a rig of my own. Throughout the years I determined that a fzj80 would be the ride for me, and spent countless hours on craigslist and other sites seeing if one would come up that was right for me and that I could afford (working in ministry isn't exactly a high dollar industry...). Well, one weekend while leading a youth event an ad popped up for what looked like my dream truck at a unbelievable price. Long story short, guy was getting divorced and had to move the truck fast, and I had just happened to save up a little cash, and it all worked out! She's in great shape, no tears in any of the seats, no cracks on the dash, has a tiny little oil leak and other buzzes and small noises, but in all my reading on here nothing out of the ordinary for a truck with this many miles.

Needless to say I am more than stoked. Everytime I walk out to my ride I can't believe she's mine, everytime I drive her it feels exactly like what driving should feel like. I'm just all around stoked to own this vehicle! So now I'm making my first official post on here, and will show her off a bit ;)

I gotta say that I have appreciated the community on this board immensely and the knowledge yall constantly share and help yall give is something that really helped encourage me to make the jump and purchase a LC. So without further rambling, I'll show her off a bit...
