I did a quick install of my 2X2 spots just to check them out. Solid construction and excellent light output.
I used the harness from my old Hella driving lights. I have a Slee Aux Light harness to be used when doing the final install. I already have the Slee Headlight harness upgrade already.

Those look great. I was going to get a 21 but now I wonder if 2 little ones will be enough for general night driving

Ray,
Thanks..
I plan to test them out tmrw night on some unlit roadways. I am impressed with the light output. Just enough without blinding everyone. I have a pair of floods on order too.

I'd love to see what some 2x2's floods output compared to the spot pattern, an apples to apples comparison would be great!

Got the rack mounted and lights powered up

I already have a 30" light bar, but am interested in getting in on this GB. 1 question. Does anyone notice a howl from the light bar, while driving 30+ mph?

I have a 32" on the ARB, and a 42" on my roof rack, I do not have any howling. Where are you thinking of mounting it?

its currently mounted on the windshield of the '40, where the wipers would be. I'm thinking it would be from wind passing through the side vents, and creating a whistling effect.

I had a set of PIAA lights on the cruiser which came with a relay harness. I pulled it apart and it is a single relay with a 30a fuse. Anyone see why I couldn't put a smaller fuse in it and call it good?

That would depend on the amp draw of the lights. My 30" light bar puts out around 15amps, so I run a 20amp fuse.

Per page 1 my 21" draws 8.2A, so I was going to replace the 30A with a 15A.

What kind of wiring harnesses and plugs are you guys using?

Page 36 ... I did a short write up on the relay box, harness and switch plate I had made and I'm using Weather Pack connectors

Yup, from my first order. I believe that's why they're powdercoating them now. I emailed them re this. I'll just paint mine again.

Yeah, I noticed mine are doing the same thing. Just the front trim ring. My 2x2's are fine, just the bar is showing signs of this.

If you are having issues please email me pictures. I'll be forwarding all to the supplier. This is why we are powder coating now. I'll need them to claim a warranty.

Ok well I've only installed the 22". Has anyone with the 42" had similar issues? I have yet to mount that.

I have came to the conclusion that the anodizing process was hit or miss. I have seen the cooling fins change color, as well as the front retainer. Im not happy about this issue as I just discovered it as well. I will address this with the manufacture and seek a warrantee, or some sort of fix. I personally have a 1-year warranty, this should be covered as its clearly a defect. Please send me pictures of them if you are able to. I'll do everything in my power to correct this and supply a product that lasts a life time. You all can say you have the "Gold Edition" in the mean time...

Here is the worst one I have seen (on my truck). Please email me if your light looks like this.

I personally dont think it's that big a deal....mine still function great.

Nick, I do a mess of anodizing everyday. This is typical of Chinese anodize that wasn't in the bath anywhere near long enough. Its easy to remedy by re-anodizing.
