@SUMMIT CRUISERS Jr

Any updates? I got an email from a different manufacturer and assumed it was yours. Figured I’d ask. Initially posted the link asking if it was yours but I don’t think it is.

I’ve got the first production swing out parts on the way. I’ve been on vacation and traveling for work this past month while bouncing between swing out updates, my Lexus GX Prado conversion, and house projects. I’d say I am a couple weeks out from first final version install! Once all these other projects wrap up, I’ll be 100% focused on swing outs and swing out related things like the website.

Speaking of, the website is a bit on the back burner priority wise right now so I’m planning to offer up a batch of swing outs at the start and handle that all directly. This will also give me a chance to control the volume and work through some production efficiencies before ramping up. Then I will get the website launched once I am able to build up a little bit of inventory as there are other things I want on the website as well.

I’ve talked with Garrett and he suggested I post this here. I have one of his original driver side swing out kits (without the high lift mount) still sitting in the box he sent it to me in. I just want what I paid for it, $675.

I just checked shipping for a guy in Washington state and it was around $150 to get it there if that can give you an idea on shipping.

I am also interested on the one that was posted for sale by razorbackcruiser if the other guys haven’t snatched it up already.

Thanks

I’ll have a good update for everyone in 10-14 days once I finalize pricing and the truck and swing out get back from solid axle summit!

It has been long time in the making, and after hundreds of hours of prep, set up, design, engineering, and prototyping, I am excited to announce that I am finally opening back up for orders for the Dialed 4WD Summit Cruisers Swing Out.

New for 2024 is a completely redesigned swing out.

Fully CAD designed, every single aspect of the original swing out has been thought about, analyzed, and improved while striving to retain the clean OEM+ aesthetics of the original. From mounting to the frame, overall weight, material choice, component choices, manufacturing, installation, packaging, shipping, and overall usage, I wanted this thing to be the best it could be and have scrapped several rounds of prototypes chasing improvements.

Below is a list of Pros and Cons:

  1. Complete bolt on design (no longer weld on) improves ease of installation
  2. This swingout is laser cut and CNC bent utilizing a balance of .188" and .250 steel saving weight were possible and maintaining strength where necessary. This swing out kitted out weighs about 20 pounds less than the previous version.
  3. Larger spindle and bearing housing with CNC machined caps standard
  4. Upgraded gas struts with all metal end caps and improved mounting points and hardware
  5. Modular bolt together design allowing flexibility in accessory mounting
  6. Available as a DIY weld together kit and fully welded bolt on option
  7. Includes installation instructions and bumper wing drilling guide for a nearly foolproof install
  8. Secondary spring loaded latch to allow for slam shut closing for final latching
  9. DESTACO latch with improved ergonomics
  10. Designed around a 35x12.5r17 tire and wheel combo
  11. Install times reduced by over 75%
  12. Replaceable press fit lug studs

Cons:

  1. Unfortunately, the price has gone up. There was no way around this, but I think the improvements are well worth it.

Looks great! Quick question, you said that you estimate the kits shipping out within six weeks after they sell out. How many kits will be in your first batch (aka to sell out)? This way we can gauge how quickly we need to get our orders in if we'd like to be in this batch.

I’m anticipating selling out in two weeks. Total quantity isn’t a set in stone number but I only want to do so many on the first run just to make sure I’m able to make sure I have time to adjust production processes instead of being swamped

Grrr... I'm in the middle of (paying for) my axle rebuilds, or I'd be all over it. :censor: The budget is currently frozen for more Cruiser goodies, but this just hit the top of my list, as I'm adding 4.88 gears and 35's.:smokin:

I'm really hoping you have enough interest to do a second batch & maybe I can have the funds to pull the trigger then. Please keep me in mind as an interested party in the near future! Really nice design & pricing. Nice work.
