Is there a preference for the LED spot light?

I purchased this from UZJ2000 back when he was selling them. I wanted a decent flood that I could double purposed as a camp light and as a cooking light.

 So here is the panel w/ a typical gub bag pouch (I have condor ar15 bag and knock off). It is the smaller ones like on the outers versus the larger center.

The snaps through the bracket are a little snug.

I'm thinking something smaller but they might not be weather proof, which is a concern for some people. It would be nice if its mounted in an adjustable arm so it can be moved around.

The arm itself won't be adjustable because then its $$$ but the mount on the light is adjustable. In fact the mounting hardware could be replaced with a thumbscrew to make it toolless.

Because I cant afford to make a die to make the anchors, I'm having them laser cut and having a machine shop shape them to give them the radius is needs. I have set of 30º and 90º anchors with the shop now to see how they turn up. I have another set with the laser etcher to see if I laser etch about 6thou or if I have to make a die to brand these. The final product will most likely be made from Chromoly and then nickel plated. Right now they are cold rolled steel just for my testing.

YES, Yes and yes! I want one for both sides, with the stickers. Love the idea of a power strip and because of this thread I am now looking at solar panels as an auxiliary power option.

Ready to spend money..........

Stickers? You mean the signage? Those are going to be powder coated aluminum in red and then silkscreened the reflective for the wording and slants.

Just food for thought.....

I did a very simple mount for some "camp" lights on the D pillar where the 3rd row seat belt mounts. Here is a pic

I would imagine something simple and easy to mount a variety of small LEDs to would be something of interest for 80 owners. My set up was crude but it swiveled and got the job done real well as far as lighting at the back of the truck without drilling any holes.

Cheers

Any idea how far out the finished product will protrude from the D pillar? My driver's side will be close with the fridge slide, but I'm down for the passenger side for sure.

Are you done yet?!?!

The lower triangle shape falls behind the plastic cargo panel using the same path as the seat belt. So that is as low as the mount goes. As for how far it sticks "out", it depends on the direction you are looking from. It's not square to any side of the truck.
