The lower triangle shape falls behind the plastic cargo panel using the same path as the seat belt. So that is as low as the mount goes. As for how far it sticks "out", it depends on the direction you are looking from. It's not square to any side of the truck.

Yes, I was interested in how far out into the width of the hatch it goes.

Since I happen to be working on this since its been raining all day, here are a couple of measurements. The edge pictured is the top of the skinny side. This would be at the top, right corner of the hatch when you open it.

The weldments, once welded, add to the rigidity.

You have my address. Let's do this!

Driver's side likely won't work but the passenger side is just waiting....just sayin'...is it ready yet??? Any ballpark on cost?

I was working on the "Power Panel" today. I think I have decided to go with a more basic fuse panel instead of an oversized BlueSea one. This thing doesn't need to be waterproof and it doesn't need the fancy cover since its behind the panel itself. I've got a lot of the wiring done to get this to actually be a one-wire install (ok technically two because of the ground). But there is a disconnect to install and take out really quick along with spring loaded thumbscrews for the panel itself. Getting it dialed in.

If someone has suggestions on the Molle sizing I can get that moving as well.

Sounds like you may have this done and ready by the time my son is driving this summer! Woohoo! :flipoff2:

I was being serious. After reading my post I know it probably sounded like a smart ass. Didn't mean it that way. Spring is awesome!

^^ Touché

very nice!
I'd be interested in this to replace my temporary solution for running power to the rear for fridge and camp lights, etc, I mounted a RIGrunner with powerpole and USB outlets to an old pelican box..

Not a bad solution though ;)

That's kinda where I started and it's morphed since :P

Actually the term is PALS: Pouch Attachment Ladder System. MOLLE: Moduluar Lightweight Loadbearing Equipment. PM me for one of the best bespoke nylon gear makers in the country if you want some prototyping, one-offs, or short runs.

And the dimensions are in this diagram:

Yeah everyone seems to call it Molle so I just stayed with convention.

Not sure I need bespoke ($$$$) ;)

That spacing helps for the panel that gets attached. I'm more thinking about spacing for my steel panel. Maybe it's the same or maybe it needs to be adjusted. What Springtail does works great for them but I don't want to copy their pattern. My other issue is it seems all bags seem to be their own standard so I need to make sure my setup fits as many options as I can.

Still waiting on my correct sized 1/4-20 pemnuts to come in so I can press them in but I went ahead and painted these pieces so I can do further mock ups and some more photos. Production pieces will be powder coated but the colors are representative.
