Nice... I'm interested as well.

When are you doing a production run?

when the last tire carrier sells

put me down for a set.

Thanks,

GB

Too late for me, I had the caster/washer mod installed at Desert Tools. :)

Phil, did you weld your caster plates to your 80? Is that part of the installation process for the more expensive caster plates?

I do like the way your 80 handles. It definitely holds its line on the road :). And you and Rudster made the installation look easy!!

JJ, Thanks for the positive feedback. My guess is the tack weld suggested is for safety. With that said I have not tack welded mine. For now Im just watching

Surprised by the lack of takers:confused:
~40% less then the other guys for the same results with a cleaner cut and more clearance.
I would guess that most guys that already have a lift installed and have already done correction bushings or some other brand of correction plates are not very inspired to redo the job if they are happy with the way it steers now. Your primary market is those rigs that have not done a lift quite yet, or those who have just recently done a lift but have not completed any caster correction procedures yet. I think that market number is probably a small number at any given time, but over a long period, it may add up to quite a few, as folks continue to purchase and build up 80s. You could get a bunch of extra sets and keep them on the shelf as a long term investment as I think they would sell well, but over an extended time period.I think most MUD vendors mass produce their stuff and then slowly sell off the inventory as market demands. You should take your sage advice and build a bunch of rear bumpers and interior tire carriers!

Correction bushing are for people who have never experienced plates.:flipoff2:
I though my 80 drove very well and so did others with ~1.5-2° positive correction now with plates I steer with my knee on any road. Much less driving fatigue on longer trips.

There is a VERY small margin of profit at the present pricing from want Im told. If you are looking to soften up your mattress and puts some dollars to work Im sure Jackson will produce as many plates as you want.:)

I agree that hard caster correction bushings are not the optimal method, but there appears to be a lot of folks with lifts that are satisfied with them as they have not rushed out to switch their junk over to either caster plates or washer mods. Their lose. :o

I currently have a more than adequate supply of marginally/minimally profitable projects lined up for a while. The trick is to concentrate on those with the greatest margin. I am constantly working on more, but it is hard to sort out those few that will really have any $$$ potential.:hhmm: I missed the Pet Rock Market by only a few days!!!:whoops:

I did the OME bushings, but my caster is still way off. My truck handles somewhat better, but its still too squirrely for me. I'm thinking new OEM bushings and these plates should do the trick.

No knee driving for me the way it is now.

I'm in for a set also.

Put me down for a set. I have whatever bushings Cruiser Outfitters sent with the "J" lift and experience the wandering in grooved roads. Makes my wife a little uneasy when she drives it. How much for the caster reading? Was wondering whether to get one for a before and after reading. When will they be available? So I take it I'm going to need to order up some new bushings then. Eric, you better get to stocking a handful of sets!!( I'll be getting all 3 per arm, the frame bushing is still OEM stock and probably needs a freshening up)
