Thanks for all the feedback everyone. Looks like we'll be going ahead with this. We're aiming to have the first production batch finished, on the shelf and ready to ship by the middle of November. The material will remain 304 stainless steel. We don't do cheap steel (aka, use and dispose parts). Ceramic coating will be optional for those that want it. Dyno testing before/after will be done for sure on a naturally aspirated stock FZJ80. We don't have a supercharged FZJ80 here at the shop, but if anyone with a supercharged FZJ80 wants to volunteer and wants these headers we can dyno before/after on a supercharged FZJ80 as well.

Here are photos of another set that we finished up earlier this week. This set has 1 5/8" runners, "Tri-y" design, and dual catalytic converters after the merge and bolts directly up to the EMSPowered exhaust.

So what about the price??

Is it gonna be A, B, C, or D?

I've tried emailing and calling on several occasions to check status of my current order, to no avail and no reply.

Not only an I interested in the status of my current order, but interested in cost and realistic timeline on headers.

Please PM, email, or call me with info for all.

Hi Chris,
Calling you here in a few minutes.

Should be determined in a few weeks.

I took a look at your full exhaust systems. Very nice. What do you recommend for a system assuming I MIGHT have turbo someday ;) I need CATs here for smog compliance. Stock CATs are SOOOO hot. How do yours compare? Additionally how is the sound/heat from your system. I would like something that is not too loud, no droan on the highway.

A turbo alone with no mufflers at all in the exhaust system actually makes for a fairly quiet truck. The turbo itself reduces exhaust sound dramatically. A turbocharger plus a muffler makes for a very quiet truck, and even quieter than stock depending on which muffler you go with.

If you're doing a turbocharger I'd recommend having us build a 3" exhaust along with the turbo kit for you. Our standard 2.5" performance exhaust will work just fine as well, but on a turbocharged truck a 3" exhaust will show slight power gains. We can put one or two cats in any of our exhaust systems.

My kind of porn........oh my.......SCHWIIIIING...

I'm In Cali so the choice is moot. They do look good though. That being said, I've never had headers that didn't leak at some point.

We can put two catalytic converters in there, and that will get you to pass the computerized and "sniffer" part of the test. But if the inspector wants to give you a hard time he can fail you for the visual inspection.

You've never had properly built headers built by EMSPowered ;) I don't think we've ever sold a set of headers (turbo or NA) that have leaked. It's all in how you make them, what materials you use, assembly process, welding process, proper thickness on the flanges, planing, etc...

E but not because i have kids in college but i just dont have much income and 1000 bucks is more than i can handle

Another teaser for you guys. Another EMSPowered full exhaust system ready to ship. This one is headers, ypipe, cats, full exhaust, all in polished stainless steel with ceramic coated headers.

Just when I thought my rig was good....now another must have.

I'm curious what the power gains will be. If they're decent, I would be interested.

Nice work fellas I've been eyeballing the catback but I don't see too much hp out of the headers over stock although they look blingin ...

A fd rx7, supra n a mr2 must be a fun shop too work in

Hey Baktasht,

I say "E" would fit my wallet. Also I have a question what kind of modifications will I have to make if I have your full SS exhaust (exhaust manifold back) and would like to add the Headers, are they pretty much plug and play or I will have to purchase more parts to make it work?. Thanks.

Borla?

I have a borla cat back...will everything bolt right up. also considering eliminating the cats altogether as I live in NY...pro? cons?

Baktasht,

Any idea when we can expect to see some dyno numbers on these headers? My factory exhaust manifolds are unlikely to ever wear out, so the motivation to buy these is based entirely on proven performance gains. I'm sure the numbers will be impressive; I just want to see them first before laying down that kind of money! Thanks!

I can't speak for Baktash, but my truck is up in his shop right now, for a head gasket replacement as PM and I am having him do the headers. I have a baseline dyno pull on the truck so I should be able to get good before and after numbers.

Thanks Scott, we look forward to seeing the numbers. oh and Baktash option D and the :princess: would go for it! :D

I bought a 2nd 80, so my charger is still sitting in a box - but your headers are interesting to see real numbers on HP gain, so if you post the gains I could decide if I want to pay the asking price -

It's just like the header game in BMW's - some motors make great gains, some Euro motors ship with essentially unbeatable "manifolds" - so I think the better way to answer the question is to see the real gain, then decide what I would pay for it, you know?
