Here it is what everyone was requesting, when the tread Container from Australia was started.

1HZ / 5 speed complete for converison from radiatior to tail shaft yoke. Motor does start and run in current configuration.

Compression numbers between 500 - 540 psi on a cold motor.
Transmision looks to have been rebuilt recently with fresh RTV noticable.

Suspesnsion still intact, Aircon intact, All acsesories still there.

Unit is Located in Tennessee 37312, will deliver free up to 100 mile or help arrange shipment to any location.

Price is 11,500.00 This engine started and ran great after 8 months in a container.

Wow!!! $11.5k!?!?!? Man... that blows my mind!, sorry but it does! I realize everything is worth what someone is willing to pay for it but I didn't realize the US market would bear this kinda coin?!?! ....especially in today's economy?!?

I paid a little less than $3k for a 1HDT w/ 5 speed and transfer mind you it lacked everything necessary to do a full proper conversion but did include shipping from the UK.

On another note here in Canada you can buy an entire HDJ81 for less $$. Plus they have the turbo direct injected diesels not the 1HZ and usually way less kms.

Anyway not trying to bash in anyway just freaked out when I saw the price for only half a truck.

You are bashing his thread. Let the guy sell his stuff for whatever he wants for it.
 
Talk about wow.. Flyboy I will take it, a 1HDT and tranny for that price how do you want to be paid, I will arrange for transport.

I know there are a boat load of people behind me that will jump on that deal too.

...just to be clear I no longer have the 1HDT. It was sold to a friend last year. I simply made some contacts with a couple wreckers in the UK and they sourced that combo for me. I'll see if I can find that contact info though it was almost 2 years ago. They had shippers that handled everything on their end, was very simple to do other than the wait at customs but eventually all was well.
 
I would bet when it was sold that it was for a bit more than 3 grand but enough on that subject. Congrates on that great deal I am truely envious that I have yet to find such a deal even in the 80 half cut with a 1hz.

I would appreciate that contact information though I am always looking for more affordable ways to live the dream.

Hello all,

I forgot to post that the AUX tank and dual filler neck is also part of the sale, I realize that this not a show stopper, but a little iceing on the cake.

No you can't... add AT LEAST $7-8K to that number for a JDM 80 series with a 1HDT.
 
dunno there .. but

If you buy any decent 80 here .. check compression, cut it ( to make the half cut ), re check that any has been stolen while waiting for transport, ship it to US and keep space at your place to hold while are in the selling process .. what I see here sounds like fair price.
 
yes you can bin there done that a few times over , only automatics usually. i am looking for a trany bell houseing pedal settup wil pay dearly if you part it out . pm me with price if your serious

Good price for a good engine/tranny/trans combo with accessories and wiring.
People are clueless what all the small parts cost. To get the clutch cylinders/pedals/pedal pan/lines/relays/ fuel lines/tank parts/filters/...is way beyond 2k already in the us.
Add an alt, starter, steering pump, vac pump, a/c system... You are in for another 1500.
A good tranny is 2000, add a transfer, and there is not much left for the engine.
