Ok, the only advantage of a 80 series axle is the bigger birf correct?

Wider
Better scrub radius (whatever that means)
Bigger knuckle balls - trunnions are further apart so less stress on the bearings
Better brakes

Well Carl, why wasn't this available 6 months ago when I needed it???;)
Will we see you and the family at Cruisin' the Woods this year?

Well it was available. this pasted quote is from over a year ago. The Hellfire knuckles on the other hand are questionable on availability. Other option is to use stock knuckles/balls and slee arms. I wont be at CTW this year, but Krys and Bryce will be in thier 80's.

I am going this way to build front axel

BJ40 Rear semi float axel, streched to 80 series front axel length, with 80 series knukels.

With ttis i hope to achieve 9.5" r&p, and 80 series knukels disks birfs etc...

Here is photo of 80 front axel and 40's rear semi float.

anyone able to out a 40/60 birf and a 80 birf side by side to see the length difference between the outer stubs?

Ok, try and get that tomorrow or Saturday. If it matters they are the shorter 94 version, I'd have to pull my front apart to measure my RCVs if you want the longer ones pictured

Don’t go to that trouble on my account. I’m just looking for a rough idea.

I want to try and see what it would take to put an 80 spindle and wheel bearing hub (and rotor) on a 60 knuckle with a 60 birf.

I have a 60 knuckles and birfs and a housing ball that’s cut off, a spare 80 hub and rotor handy, an 80 spindle will be here this weekend. So maybe I’ll mock it all up on the bench Sunday evening.
My hope is that the Birfield shaft length is close enough that a minor spacer is all that’s needed to fit a regular Aisin hub since the 80 spindles are a little shorter. And hopefully the rotor isn’t too close to the knuckle so there’s room for a caliper adapter
