I did get the new camshaft and lifters and got them installed, but that's about all.

I finally closed on my new building for my business and have been totally focused on building it out and getting moved in. I should be up and running in the new location by Tuesday of next week. But, there will still be a lot of little things that will need to be done which will occupy most of my time for a couple of weeks.

Sorry there haven't been any updates, but getting back to a situation where I have positive cash flow is priority one.

Hang in there with me on this project, I will be back on it before you know it.;)

Wow, almost 2 months since I have updated this thread. I've been a busy camper here lately getting my business moved into my new shop, working with my pups and helping my dad move to Kerrville.

But, finally I am back to working on the Cruiser some. Here are some pics of the progress I've made recently. Pretty much self explanatory. I built some stands to support the frame while I am working on it. I finally got it down to the frame last night.

Last 2 pics are of my 6.5 month old Vizsla buddies Elo (Orange collar) and Laszlo (Green collar). Hard to catch them standing still so you can take a picture. They are going to be some great hunting partners.

A few pics of some work I did last weekend. The rear frame support was tweaked a little and I thought it was too bad to try straightening with a torch so I patched in a section from a donor FJ40 bumper. I still need to do a little grinding on the welds, but I think it turned out pretty well.

I did a lot of researching and decided to go with the Rust Bullet, so I've got a gallon of that on the way. UPS says I'll get that on Tuesday.

From what I read, it sounded like POR15 was harder to apply and make it look decent. And, everything I read about Rust Bullet was positive. And finally, it sounds like you can topcoat the RB with just about anything which didn't seem to be the case with POR15.

I made a little progress on the Cruiser over the last few days. I drilled out a few broken bolts from the frame. Not the sort of thing I really like to do, but it had to be done. I also drilled out the pins and removed the steering gear box mount. A lot of oil and ever increasing drill bit sizes really helps out here.

A couple of recent pics of the engine. I finally got around to cleaning up the rocker arms and shaft and got them put on. Just about ready to close this engine back up.

Then, today I took the frame to have it sandblasted . They are going to charge me a maximum of $150 and I thought that sounded very fair. Got my gallon of Rust Bullet this afternoon.

You can probably tell from my posts that I sort of work on whatever I feel like working on at any particular time. Since it's a hobby I think that's the way it should be. You know, keep it fun and interesting for myself.

This baby is about to start heading the other direction soon. I may have to change the title on this thread.

I got my frame back from being sandblasted today. They charged me $125 and It looks to me like they did a very good job. They were able to get into the inside of the frame a lot better than I expected. The first picture is kind of dark, but the others show up pretty good.
