any ideas on what gasket i need for the circled area between the air cleaner? (circle a little off-center)
i have already installed

carb gasket #17848-61011.

Dump the weber and work from the intake up..

Unless you're building an accurately restored vehicle the Weber carbs work just fine and are very tunable for modding the engine.

I’ve Had a Webber on my 40 for 25 years without any issues .

the 21100-61012....it's basicly the oe desmog carb, really it's the no smog carb. it just has so much more to offer than a weber....which is too small for the 2F.....i went from a 38/38 to oe, it's night and day different.
i'm getting around 16mpg, it runs better than it ever did with the weber, and i could probably down size the main and secondary jets yet.

Don't forget that you'll need to recreate the OEM accelerator pedal linkage if returning to an OEM carb.

Getting back to Jason's original question, you could make a gasket for that with 1/4" foam tape or even cardboard.
