Used a piece of exhaust pipe for the straight section.

Used silicone bronze to weld it back together.

And of course, black Imron paint.

Installed this Professional Products fuel pump an all new Aeroquip PFT Stainless steel fuels lines.

I kinda wish I would have purchased a in-tank fuel pump, but I had already ordered this one before I started to second guess myself.

Either way I was happy to give Professional Products my business as they offer veterans a pretty good discount plus free shipping. They also sell other items besides fuel pumps.
All in all a great company to do business with.

Fuel pump was mounted inside the frame rail with a rubber isolator pad.

Nice work. A bit of grinding, sanding, tapping with a hammer and she'll be perfect!

Steve,

Finally found your build. Excellent work, keep it up! Nice to see someone else in the same boat I'm in. Subscribed!

Removed my Conferr Tank for the third time. Decided to install Downey's intank fuel pump kit. Went ahead and sealed the inside of the tank with KBS's fuel tank sealer.

I now have the option to run either intank or external fuel pumps depending on which one works the best.

Mighty fine work there!

It's all progress, no matter how small. Keep up the good work.
Wish my transmission hump looked as good.

This build is so nice!!

Oh geez,

I'm no professional, nor welder so I'm sure it took me a lot longer than most.

After the door was blasted and my game plan was all thought out. I would have to say somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 hours.

That's just a ruff estimate,

Most of the time was getting the pieces to fit with hardly no gap.
You obviously have welding skills. All 4 doors on mine need work. I want to but then I'm afraid I'll screw them up

I've installed three of the EZ wiring kits on various Hotrods, pretty straight forward.
The steering box was nicely done..great metal fab work!
You've got skills.
One thing about a build such as yours, you end up knowing every inch of it, and that's a good thing.
