This one is really interesting. Anything in particular to look out for with the Chevy and automatic conversion?
The doors are after-market instead of original right?
Well hehe looks like an advanced adapters conversion, sticker is still on the side. Generally with V8's, its a box of chocolate. But get it for the right price and work out the transmission later, and everything else. The soft top doors are what they are, the seats suck. But at least the paint is good. The dealer can't take pics worth a damn. I'm better this place has a guy that you can work him over on the price. Let me know when you want to call, I'll call them a couple days before and tell him why it's not worth that much. Oh I see now, the rear barn doors. Yes not original hinges. Here's what I see:
Pros:
Good paint job - maybe matching smurf oem blue?
Jump Seats
Original Roll Cage
Maybe 2.5 Old Man Emu suspension? maybe someone else can tell
Winch
OEM side view mirrors.. not the ones that came with the FJ but tow telescopic ones
Beadlock rims? not sure
JEGS Sticker - maybe a descent crate engine? who knows maybe money there
Advanced adapters sticker - I guess that's better than not knowing, not sure how someone could get a V8 to a 4speed without it.. maybe there are others
Cons
No engine bay pics
Poor muffler job
Seats
No Hard Top - you can find one or go fiberglass
Looks like they put a tilt steering wheel in
The tub might be aluminum, looks pretty perfect or fiberglass... this would be good to know
Like maybe previous owner had a rust bucket, dumped the body and hard top and put aluminum in
If that is so, and dealer is clueless, could be a better deal
anyways 15 days on CL, there's a lot of unknowns and when it's at a dealership the lot lizards just want to move it by
now, I doubt they know much about them
