Avoiding the heat as much as possible. I should be in town this weekend and I may have my hood and fenders back as well. If so, I'll finish up the plumbing and fire it up. Still undecided on the tub......If I can get it up and running I may bring it up to Kingwood to do the spring install.

Make it run! At least then you can go to the Sonic for cherry limeades in it! No on my parts, they are at least 2 weeks out, I expected that though. Now I look at it in my driveway and think that only a little more work and it could become a full on frame off....................

Starting a headlight rehab. Right lamp is minus a mounting post...Ordered new gaskets and lens mounting screws. Waiting to see how the lenses clean up before pulling the trigger on new ones. I have an aftermarket set of lamps I may cannibalize IOT keep the OE lamps in service.

New OME bushings made it in too. Looking into September for the shocks...Rounding up some additional help for the spring install...Test fit for applicability/serviceability. Everything looks copacetic.....Still need to measure suspension travel to ensure shock fitment.

More "small decisions". 
Hardly tech worthy but, necessary. 1st photo is an old aftermarket turn signal lamp. The base fits the OE perfectly...Again, not sure what I'm going to do but, this is an option...With the "Carb Swap" mission creep at full gallop, saving a couple sheckles is looking pretty good.

Gave the turn signal bucket the "Dawn" treatment. Will probably just hit the assembly with a good plastic polish. Everything was in good order minus the mounting post.

When we built our house, we hired a father/son stucco crew. Friendly, polite, but then they'd get into an argument, the son would stomp to his car, rush off and stay away for days. Even with the two alcoholics the father used as fill-in IT TOOK SEVEN WEEKS TO FINISH. Did great work though. Was it worth it? Uhh-h-hmm. Sure hope it's worth it for you Dude!

Even with your painter guy issues, it looks like you are going to be months ahead of me now getting your rig going. I am about to start a thread on my build, given the time that I had before my parts for the engine will be around, I got busy! Pics will be around soon..........
