Next week I'm going to get sliders, skid plates, and OME 2.5" lift (with UCAs) installed. Let me know if anyone wants any part. Otherwise anything coming off the LC will be in the trash can.

Wow, I am in Boulder once a week, I'd take your old suspension for a project I am goofing off with it, UCA's and Torsion bars for sure. Ill shoot you a PM.

Are only doing uppers? If you end up doing lowers let me know! Mine are beat and I could swap them out given the chance!

For those from Texas, or passing thru, on their way to HIH6, I've set up a Facebook page for us to coordinate a convoy.

Search for "HIH6 - TX".

If someone else already has this going, let me know and I'll pull it down.

We have a thread going already for southern based 100s. You are welcome to join.

Now the old shocks (x4), springs (x2), torsion bars (x2), and UCAs (x2) are sitting in the garage waiting to be picked up. All are OEM 10-year/127000-mile old.

My CB is installed and I'll be ready to roll at the end of July!

I too need a CB for hth. What did you end up going with? I would like something hand held and the ability to change it to other trail rigs. Does it have an external antenna or the ability to add one?

With assistance from @bkmc24 I went with this setup:

Cobra 75

I bought the various elements on Amazon and had it installed at Best Buy.

I went with this one for its portability and handheld battery: Midland 75-822 40 Channel CB-Way Radio https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00000K2YR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_BArqxb2QPPE5D
The Cobra looks like a great unit as well. I have a permanent HAM setup, and the CB is going to be HIH only. Pairing it up with a mag mount antenna run out the tailgate.

Is it worth monitoring 2m during the trail runs or is it pretty much CB only?

I picked up the same cobra 75, haven't had time to get it installed yet. Hopefully this week.

I had a really good experience at Best Buy. It took the guy 2 hours to do the job, but he only charged me $75.

Thanks for the help guys! I'm going to try and get the CB squared away soon! I look forward to meeting y'all in the hills!

I have the same one and bought from the same place 3 years ago, I just don't remember costing all that!

FYI if you or anyone else is interested in the Midland I am selling mine HERE
