Hey guys! @paflytyer are continuing to work on getting everything in order for HIH6. We are now ready to get some more information from those of you who are registered for this year's event. On the website, www.100sinthehills.com, there is a Participant page. On this page is a really simple form that is designed to capture some much needed intel in order to make this event run as smoothly as possible. First, participant name (first only) - this is so we can work on a personalized item that will help with putting a name to a face around the camp and on the trail. Second, SWAG!!!! Do you need any more shirts or stickers? You will get one sticker, but we know they can wear out or you would like one for your garage, etc. Additionally, we are gathering a count on how many HOODIES you guys would commit to. Hoodies are pretty expensive, especially in low quantity, so we need a commitment (no money, at this time) to see what kind of pricing we could get. The pricing will drive the viability of HOODIES coming to reality, this year. Next, trail selections - we provide a brief description but feel free to research more online about the offerings. The last thing we want is for someone to get in over their head. With that said, we will help everyone who needs it and help to make everyone as comfortable, as possible. Finally, we are asking each participant to let us know if they will be at camp, in a motel/hotel, rental, etc. for each night. This will good info for us to share with the Silverton Chamber of Commerce (just counts, not names) and it will help us prep the camp site in Silverton.

Please visit the website, www.100sinthehills.com and fill out AND SUBMIT the Participant form. Please try to get this done within the next week or so! Thank you!!

Chris,

Two questions:

1. I'm assuming the shirt order parts of the form are in addition to the extras we've already ordered?

2. Is the bypass open at Poughkeepsie?

Can't wait to get on the road...staying a week this time.

Good questions

Yes, any shirts you have already purchased are covered already. No need to request them again on this form.

Yes, bypass for the wall (a legitimate one) is open. Well, it existed last year, so I'm confidently assuming it will be there this year.

What color are you guys thinking for the hoodies? I want to commit, but I don't want to end up with something that I won't wear. Also, is it one trail per day, with a back up choice? Or, is it two trails a day? Lastly, are my trail choices set in stone?

Done!

Probably neon pink.... JK ;) We would shoot for a navy or grey type color. It won't be terrible.

As for trails, you are signing up for one per day, the 2nd option is in case we can't slot you for your first choice. The second would then be your trail for that day if that happened.

Trails will be pretty much set. Too many people to make adjustments at camp, etc. I wouldn't say set in stone, but changing up will be have to be looked at individually to ensure permit compliance, etc.

Hope that makes sense. Thx

So I have to pick 3 trails! :censor: :crybaby: This might take a couple of days of deciding.

Can someone familiar with the trails rate them for me on a scenic scale? I'm bringing my girlfriend and our 4 year old son, and I don't want the whole trip to be all about daddy driving over big rocks. This will be our first major, long distance, off-road trip and I want it to be good for everyone involved.

It's hard to beat starting out with clear lake or Cali / Corkscrew. Both have spectacular scenery and are not heavy wheeling trails.

For my money Imogene has the best payoff out there (360* of awesome at the summit) but I wouldn't start with that one.

If you do black bear do it on Sunday. It's hard to top.

Hope this helps.

@ihadmail its been a few years but I remember California/Corkscrew being completely amazing. Imogene was incredible, but my recollection is the aweness factor was at the top of the pass (but my memory may be fading). Clear Lake is a great starter trail, beautiful scenery and relatively easy drive up with good initial exposure to shelf roads (but not at the Black Bear level). Black Bear was an all around incredible experience, but can't comment much on the scenery as I was mostly focused on making it down safely and maintaining some sense of sanity in the land cruiser on the way down (passenger at the time was a bit not happy with me).

All beyond scenic. This area hardly has any big rocks so that shouldn't be an issue. If you have never been, any of the trails will be a blast for you and your passengers.

Done!

EDIT: Crap, me too!!! I want to do it as well. Again I'm not 100% sure if I should.
I'm not lifted, do have sliders, running 32s, front Dissent/stock rear, no locker.

I haven't been on it so I don't know but from what I hear the main concern is just the wall so plan would be bypass for sure and sail from there! If ok enough it would be 1 option on sunday. Sorry @bluecruiser for complicating!
