My 68 restoration came with a 283 conversion already installed. I put in a 350 with an EFI requiring a 3/8 fuel line. I’m in need of a fuel line connector with a 3/8 barb. CCOT sells the 1/4 barb and does not offer a 3/8.

What size is the thread for the connector ??? 12mm 1.25 pitch?? CCOT says it’s 12mm but they don’t know the pitch.

I found 12mm 1.25 on line but they don’t fit???? I’m at a loss

There is some confusion on the outlet size of the fuel tank. Some say its 12mm. I believe Coolerman states in some earlier threads that it is 13mm x 1.5mm thread.


This is a pretty impossible fitting to find which is why SOR and CCOT can charge what they charge for a small fitting. Although I believe that the fittings on both the SOR and CCOT fittings only come in 1/4" barbs.

As for a solution. you might be able to get a machine shop to manufacture the correct fitting. It might take some trial and error though.

Threads on the tank are M13x1.5

OEM Parts are

Nut - 90402-13041
Olive - 96395-71400
Barb - Unsure if available.

Ive welded up the nut to make a block-off plug when installing an in-tank setup.

Just wanted to follow up on this. Any leaks? Anyone have a new solution? Not seeing much in terms of thread type online lining up with the metric threads posted here, so just wanted to check in on it before ordering. Thanks!
 
I haven’t cranked it yet, but getting close. The 3/8 hose on the barb is a little loose but north bad. The clamp works well and holds good.

Just ran plug wires today.

If my memory is working, I believe the 2F air rail nut is the same size as the fuel tank outlet. I don’t have one handy but next time I’m at our shop I’ll try and pull a rusted one to check for everyone.
