I purchased two Toyota Stouts from a local junk yard. I plan on restoring one and maybe do something crazy with the other. I have one down to the frame. I grabbed RN20 front spindles for a front disc conversion. After removing the brake drums I discovered that the wheel cylinders are okay. I plan on keeping it totally original.

Starting sanding it and taking it apart. I might forget how to put it together by the time I am done.

Low compression caused by cylinder three deciding to blow up. Probably why it was in the junkyard.

Here is the differential all painted. Frame is starting to come together. The engine is currently at the shop getting bored.

Way to go! Keep the posts coming.

Love it! Keep us posted.

This would be an awesome candidate for a Lexus 1uZFE engine and tranny swap.

So cool. Thanks for sharing this with us!

Can't wait to see the finished product.

Here is the engine back from the engine shop. Rebuilding the 3R probably doesn't make much sense but I like to keep things original. It will probably run better with modern parts and the ability to breathe better. New valves, springs, etc
