The top cover in the last pic and the portion of the vacuum assembly with the breather on top in the second pic makes me think it's the original Toyota 3-speed transfer case. You'll have to wait for someone more knowledgeable than me to chime in on the twin stick option though.

Yes, that is a one-piece Land Cruiser transfer case.

In order to 'twin-stick' it, you will need to remove the vacuum control on the nose cone and replace it with the mechanical shifting housing found on the 09/71-07/80 transfer case nose cone.

You will also need to fabricate a mount for the twin stick pivot.

Hit up Orange45/Georg out here.

Probably has the twin stick and the other piece(s) you will need.

thanks for the input...currently it does not have the actual 4wd shifter in it.... so figured why not.... plus the push back from the auto trans makes it hard to put a normal shifter back in

Looks like the hand brake parts were removed and just a plain flange replacing it. I also don't see the diaphragm in that 4WD shifter. Wondering if with the auto transmission and adapter if part of the shifter with the diaphragm was removed. Looks like it would be hitting the floor if it was there. There are three speed and four speed manual shifter that will fit where the diaphragm shifter mounts to the T case. I did see the lever for the hi/lo shifter in one of the pictures but nothing seem to be attached to it. Looks like it just installed up and run with how the T case was shifted when installed.

I'll get some better pics of transfer case today with the levers and open spots where the linkage should go

Would you recommend rebuilding an NP205 or buy a new transfer case? I have 67 FJ40 with a 350 4 speed manual 4.10 gear. If new what you recommend installing? Note more than 50% off road, closer to 90% on the road 10% off road.

What 4 speed do you have? An NP205 is a center rear output tcase, is you rear diff centered?

Well what tranny is in it now? A 4 speed wasn't born there. It will usually be way cheaper to replace/fix whatever transfer case you have now than get/adapt something different. FJ40's are not good freeway cars IMHO.
