I got my 45. It showed up today. Took 6 weeks to get it picked up and delivered from east coast to west coast. It's got some rust underneath, but I don't care. I plan to do a frame off.its got it's share of spider webs and wasp nests inside and out. I'll post more once I tear into it .

What an exciting time for you, enjoy your new toy as I did with my 45 about a year ago and get busy and get some pics so we can enjoy it along with you. Best

Very nice, looks good.
I'm going to start the rebuild of mine this winter. Yours looks great compared to mine, should be fun.
Also, thanks again for the axles. They were delivered tuesday

Good Luck

fixed top with ribs on the roof.. Interesting! every one i'd seen was smooth roof.. 63? based on bezel?

Never seen ribs either, cant be 63, it has windshield hinges, small taillights on frame, and spare under bed, looks like a very soild start! Its actually right when 64's were being built,a crossover from 63. As we all know nothing is set in stone when it comes to production dates and changes.

Brian,
This is the rig that'll get that dual carb set up..... hopefully. That's down the line. I'm going to try to make it very road friendly and not worry too much about being totally stock. Power steering, 4 or 5spd, discs and lower gearing....I might even just put 60 axles on it...I'll post as I go.

Hey, wait a minute. You got to finish the 55 first, right?

Just kidding ya! Have fun with it.

Ron,
The 55 is in the hands of my fab buddies right now. Until the fab is done and all the paint and powdercoat, I'll be playing with this rig in my driveway....can't wait. The 55 is a keeper for sure. This one might end up being my kids..

Got some pressure washing done. Crappy paint job. Some rust but not bad. Probably some body filler. I'm gonna clean fuel take and replace hoses , belts, fluids and such and drive her for a bit before I tear down .

Looks much better that it has been before it was cleaned up, YA drive it for awhile and enjoy while you can. That is what I am doing with mine. When you tear it down it will be awhile to enjoy it again

Looks like someone did a engine, column, booster swap from a early 70's fj40, even has barn doors and the later tailights. All things to improve driveability. Im with Skip, dont tear into it yet!!! Drive it for a while and improve little things along the way, too many of us tear down to the frame, and its a long time before getting behind the wheel again!

Cool truck man. We never, ever got the SWB 45 down here unfortunately. Is that the stock location for the alternator on a F.5, or it's just been moved to fit the power steering pump..? Mine's below the air cleaner.

I agree with whitey.. mechanical maint till snow if u get that. Ten years in pieces isn't fun. Great base for a driver. Or as is.

nice old landcruiser. here a pic of another 63 with a ribbed roof. seems toyota must have ran them for a while.

Trying to sort out the engine bay and the PO did a hack job with the upgraded brakes, steering and clutch. I think I'm gonna need a firewall donor to replace this mess... Anyone have a front piece available?
