I just got a new code cut key for my 62. most of the door locks work fine. Driver door lock seems be funky. The key will sit at a downward angle and wont work. Hold the key up and level anf it works fine. Any idea how to work with cyliner to adjust this wear or slop?

Thanks.

Next to the Ignition Lock Cylinder

Drivers door sees the 2nd most physical use and on top of that the ravages of age time and exterior elements and weather

Water

💦

Road salt

MAG CHLORIDE too …!

If it has this type of free-play movement SLOP ?

It’s smoked inside and NOT a repair or restorable with new inside service parts …

This is the facts you need to hear and take time to understand too ..

So you don’t get taken or a local type locksmith promises something that cannot be done

A NEW OEM lock cylinder is your path now , it can be Re-Keyed by a qualified professional ,

It can also be Jacked Up by a un-qualified amateur …

Or

You suffer with a different key kode key for your drivers door only …

This is the OEM Skinny on that old tired lock in your drivers door

THIS IS THE WAY ..,,

Hold the key up and level and it works fine.

Consider it an anti-theft device - you need all you can get on a 60 series ;)
