I don't lie about what parts are available or not.

If it's going to be disco, I know before most do.

I figured they bought and stashed parts like SOR. And LCP&C.

You may first try carefully dismantling what you can and cleaning.

Any combination switch from a 60 or 62 should work. In my '86 FJ60 I've had the original switch, one from an '81 FJ60 and now one from an '88 FJ62. I've swapped out switches due to issues with hi-lo beam switching. Turn signal and headlight stalk tips had minor changes over the years but that's all I've noticed.

60 sat for about 2 weeks and has a little hiccup in the throttle. Right where secondaries open.

Not sure what it is. I'll pop the cover and see if anything looks amiss.

Idle good. Cruise good. Hiccups when you throttle.

What's the latest on your 60 @dnp ?
All apart right now. Getting engine compartment a little cleaned up, new radiator, thermostat, hoses, valve cover gasket, plugs/wires/cap/rotor, belts, a/c working, new wheels/tires, etc. Trying to stop spending money on this turd, but I keep getting sucked to the very edge of the "while I'm here" black hole of money........

You and me both.

I've got @beno on speed dial. It's a good thing my wife can't see how much I'm spending these days (business bank account). Doh!

Don't know much about 2f's, but what I know about small engines would tell you to look at the bowl to make sure it is properly filled under load.

How are the diaphragms in the carb? Ethanol will cause them to harden over the years. Could have been from the PO.

A $6 fuel filter and a 1/2 can of Seafoam and its running like a top again

Pigs happy. I'm happy.

It was down about 2 quarts after 1000 miles. I'm ok with that. Better than 2 quarts per 200 miles.

Great day out in the 60. Super super hot and the 49Tire a/c is pumping major cold air.

It ran superbly.

I left it idling at White Rhino today for 15-20 minutes because I had pork chops in the Cruiser.

I walked up and it was noticibly smoking at idle and puffed a HUGE cloud when I left.
I've seen this happen before. This motor burns pretty clean except at idle.
