My point is that everyone has a different definition of use and wheeling. I love to backroad my 60 but the thought of crawling it over rocks with stock gears and 33's makes me cringe.
Nevermind...

OK, so I decided to join the 60 series club. Not sure why, just because. Never had a 6x before, so that was reason enough for me. Rob and I went down to Brookhaven Wednesday night and snagged it.

Will post photos as I work through an over abundance of "patina," but right now, I'm focused on parts.

Brown/Tan '85 with 126,000 miles. Very stock and complete. ZERO rust. Looks to have not been maintained at all, but it's also not altered. Straight on the sides, but not on either end.

LOOKING FOR:
OEM chrome front and rear bumpers / all 4 end caps
(4) OEM chrome 60 wheels
Front valence (panel below the grille and between the fenders)
Maybe a driver's fender, but prolly not

More to come............

Dude...pics! Don't tease @dnp !!
OK. Everyone needs a good chuckle every now and then........plus, it won't look this bad forever (maybe)

The interior is all there, and just needs some cleaning up. It also drives great and runs remarkably well.........it just looks like crap right now.

Looks great to me man. Excited to follow.
Thanks. It definitely needs some "sorting," but I think I may have a line on a liftgate/tailgate already painted this color. That'll go a long way in getting it looking better. I hate that the PO abused it so (best Rob could figure from reading the glove box material, the guy bought it from a Toyota dealership in October 2012 for a little less than $10,000 with only 20,000 less miles on it. Therefore, assuming it must've been in fairly decent shape to bring that kind of money, the PO abused it to this degree in about 3.5 years! Shame.)

Oh well, I didn't buy it to fully restore it, so if I can do a few things to make it more "presentable," I'll be happy with the purchase.......especially since 60s seem to be on the $$$ rise these days.

Nice score @dnp ; I saw that one on CL the other night and thought about it given that it was "priced relative to condition" (which not many are these days). As you said, pretty low risk opportunity to test out the 60 Kool Aid; a few cosmetics here and there and you'll be in good shape.

Congrats and call before you flip.

Thanks PMc. Not even on the same page of clean as the one you had, but I hope to get it to a condition that it'll be fun to beat around in..........after a LOT of sorting!

Andrew has 60 chrome wheels on the 40 he is restoring. Make him an offer.

Great score DNP. I saw it on CL and thought it could be a fun project for someone. I hoped it went to the CLC family for how quick it sold. There was another cheap one on there but it had more "patina" and didn't sound like it was running well like this one.

Pretty sure I have Gregs old 62 chrome wheels. May need a little polishing by now though
