sounds like it. I think when he bought it, it was on some skinny 35"s of some sort that rubbed as soon as you went off road.

I saw one of the nicest FJ60's at the Toyota dealership in Lodi, CA. I swear it looks like it just came off the boat. I looked at it pretty closely while they were working on my FJ. No rust anywhere, original paint, interior, engine, amazing example.. unfortunately not for sale. I believe it was a 1986 with abt 120k miles. If you are in Central CA do yourself a favor and check it out. Sorry about the photo quality. The only camera I had was on my phone.

^chances are it is between an 81-83. If it was a 1986 it should have the chrome taller rectangular mirrors, and anything post-1984 has the gunmetal on the headlight bezels and grille.
Rear Axle: Yucon 4.88 gears and a detroit locker.
Front Axle: Yucon 4.88 gears Lockright locker and Longfield dirty 30- 30 spline cromolly axles

New alternator, Everything in the braking system is new. Drilled and slotted front rotors.
The interior has been covered in bedliner. The front doors have 5 1/2 Kenwood speakers and the rear doors have 6x9 Kenwood speakers.
The rear cargo area has hold downs like you would find in a pickup bed to tie down all your gear.
It is sitting on 37/14.5 toyo MTR's and they are mounter on 15 in aluminum wheels.
It has a custom rear bumper that wraps around the sides. The rear rockers have been cut for clearance. Quick release mud flaps.

The chrome mirrors may not have started till 1988 in the States, but if you look around, I'm confident that my statement about the chrome/chrome and gunmetal headlight bezels and grille is correct. Unless someone can prove otherwise?
