Hi All-

We are planning to reproduce the 60 series dash. Special thanks to @torfab for literally dropping everything and removing the dash out of his personal vehicle for us. We appreciate all the support the IH8MUD forum feedback over the years and wanted to solicit more. In the reproduction of the 60 Series Dash, should we keep the speaker perforation or eliminate it?

Definitely lose it!

Definitely delete the speaker grill.

I would take 2- 5 of each color (brown, gray and black ..... pending price) right now . I pay 550.00 to upholster over clapped out dashes now. So, if you are close to that price you have an order incoming.

Had a customer have Just Dashes restore his and it was almost 2K and quality was ... well... :flush::flush::flush::flush::flush::flush::flush::flush::flush:

Jason, great feedback. Question for you, why black? Grey and Brown, yes. Open to black, is that OEM or an aftermarket aesthic look?

A lot of my custom builds are black based interiors. These are restomod customers and 120-225K build outs.

Yep, ditch the speaker perf IMHO. I would be interested in black dash. My 62 dash has been Rhino lined by PO its growing on me like everything else in this girl, but some serious checks in mine.

So makes me wonder what the absolutely mint dash I have saved in the attic is worth.
It was destined for the wreckers. For just rebuilding a dash for a truck lose the speaker holes.

I say delete too. Brown would be my colour of choice. Would love to hear your timing on his as I just booked my truck in with @kelly saad for a repaint next year. This would be one of those while you’re in there jobs for sure!

By the way, thanks for the headlight washer refresh kit, just go that installed a few weeks back and it looks great.

Cheers, James
