Couple of teaser pictures. Currently in process on installing @TRAIL TAILOR Coil Conversion and doubling down with converting to FZJ locking front and rear axles.

We went with Dobinsons MRR kit. Also upgrading to StopTech rotors.

Should ride like a pig Cadillac when it’s all buttoned back up.

Any more of these kits out there in the "wild"? Is there an advantage to keeping the 60 front axle and doing coils vs. going with an 80 front axle and coil kit (more popular)? I would imagine the 80 would be easier since it is set up for coils and you have to strip the 60 axle down and "prepare" it for coils, but what else is a pro/con for this setup?

thanks!

In the long run the 80 is the better choice, IMO. Less welding and heat input into the housings as well. The front 80 kit has no welding on the housing and just cutting and welding the coil perches on the rear housing.

60 front and rear everything is cut off and all 80 brackets are welding on. Quite a bit of room for error and warping if not done properly.

I only offer the 60/60 kit for in house installations.

Need 16" or larger wheels.

Have you done any 40/45 series conversions?

@TRAIL TAILOR are you planning to make another run of these for the 60 series?

This kit is being finished up this week for the front and rear.

All frame brackets, properly ramped axle coil buckets to accept 80 coils, axle brackets for radius arms, panhards, rear upper and lower control arms with crossmember, front upper coil and shock towers, rear upper coil buckets with shock mounts and transmission crossmember adapter brackets.

We have had excellent results with the 80 axle swap and are finally caught up on all fabrication and orders. Total of 34 kits out in the world now in 5 countries.

We are also working with a few in Australia to get all of these kits through engineering for use on Australian roads. We have 7 kits there already, but for offroad use only.

Stay tuned for more to come on these and then the 60 axle to 40 frame is next, almost all brackets are finished up in CAD and we have the 40 donor in the shop now ready to go.

J
Are these kits still available?
