Thread title: I've been thinking of a good title to start this build. It's probably gonna take several years. I knew I would have to look at this title over and over, so I wanted to find something that I could live with.
Born and raised in the North Florida area and this being an area that was inhabited originally by Seminole Indians. The original color of the 59 was Seminole Red. Well with all that being said. Lets start the build.

Guys, guys guys! Just remember this build would not be possible without you! and your parts when im in need! haha! Here's some eye candy while you wait.

Very nice ... I've changed my title several times .... your not stuck with it forever lol

Cruiserism yes ... thread title no :)
Damn, if i would of known this earlier, haha. this hinge was pretty hidden from the elements, so i already had paint mixed to match.

It doesn't matter so much what the name is since you already know that you have the correct color. But I wonder if that is Seminole, or Carnival there?

What a find... Especially original to N Florida.

Paint looks more Seminole than carnival to me.... They're close.

I was wondering about the snow plow. Seems weird for Florida, but I see it spent time in Idaho.

This is a great sample of original paint! Under the hinge. There seems to be an outstanding argument what the original color was- either Carnival or Seminole for these early years. What some have done- is take that part to a place that has exact color matching and get that paint (what was done on mine). Based on what is known to have been used on the Toyopet in 1958, I do believe with confidence the original color was Seminole Red- T332.

I had the hinge color matched. im trying to make the wheel brake inspection hole tonight. tahoe40/45 sent me a template. i had some thick clear lexan. Hard to mold but learned alot. Check out the diference between the red early wheel.

Looks like a FJ40 Axle. 15" wheels will not work on a FJ25 front axle without spacers. I hauled a set of welded disc brakes wheels and tires all the up to Oregon from Arizona to flat tow a FJ25 back. Ended up using the old bias tires and original rims on the front.
